bcsco is the only one I know who isn’t a Rocky fan.

Well, you've never met my wife :)

Actually, boxing movies bore me. So does boxing & wrestling in general. Why box or wrestle with a guy when you can pick up a gun and blow him away? Just kidding, folks, just kidding!

Hope it continues. While Tuesday will probably not decide the contest at this point, I believe it will tell us a lot about trends and where the GOP voters are going.

Romney's numbers seem to be turning and his win in Maine was a very good indicator. We may look back and see that Maine told us, early on, where things were headed...that the wind had changed.

That was a pretty darned decisive win Romney had in Main. 52 percent of the vote...and the media is overlooking that for some reason.

It is over, McCain IS the nominee.

You're probably correct. McCain will need a lot more of the Democrats and clueless independents who nominated him to beat Clinton/Obama 08. But that was never part of the plan anyway. McCain gets duped again... and he still doesn't even know it... classic McCain.

The DBM is going to splash McAddled all over the place today and tomorrow. This Romney turnaround is real. I don’t have signs or bumper stickers yet, and haven’t seen any in Austin (nor do I expect to).

Mitt needs to give out signage, now. Today.

He sure was well received here in Denver a few days ago. They were expecting 150 people and close to 2,000 showed up (very last minute notice). I would say over 2/3 of us couldn't even get inside, but we still were there cheering and having a good time!

It does not fit with their preconceived prediction of the outcome. Most of the MSM wants the GOP base to go into Tuesday with McCain's Florida win on their minds. This discounts those predictions and shows huge strength with Romney amongst the base...so it goes basically unreported.

If McCain had beat Romney this bad, it would be heraleded as proof positive of their predictions.

I believe talk radio will make the point to tens of millions on Monday though.

I didn’t read the article. Does this poll include the illegals, who will turn out in droves for McCain and against Romney? If not, it’s flawed.

"I believe Romney's numbers are climbing and will continue to do so and hope for a very strong showing on Tuesday. I believe the longer Romney can hold on, the stronger he will get."

That's exactly the way I read it. It's not only from picking up Fredhead support that is causing Romney to surge: McCain just doesn't have the support that the media wants him to have.

News Utah & Arizona Polls: Obama, Romney Lead Big In UT While the races are close in Arizona
411mania Blog ^ | 02.03.2008

Posted on 02/03/2008 3:17:30 AM CST by Red Steel

One of the states that has had virtually no polling done up until now, Utah, finally has a new poll out. The Desert Morning News just released their poll of the state which is one of the many that vote on Tuesday.

On the Democratic side, Barack Obama has a big lead over Hillary Clinton, 53% to 29%.

On the Republican side, Mitt Romney is on his way to what may end up being one the biggest landslide win in any state this year. He leads 84% to 4% for John McCain. Why is Romney winning by so much? Simple. Utah has the largest Mormon population in the entire country and with Romney being the first Mormon to have a legit shot at being President, they are obviously flocking to support him.

Rasmussen also has a new Arizona poll out. On the Democratic side, Clinton leads Obama 46% to 41%. This is another major drop for Clinton who has had leads in AZ of over 20 points as recently as early January.

On the Republican side, John McCain leads Mitt Romney 43% to 34%. It's interesting that the race is so close in McCain's homestate. The likely reason is that AZ is a closed primary, meaning many of the state's conservatives probably don't view McCain as very conservative.

"Neither are Florida's."

Now that's interesting. Strangely, the media has given McCain the nomination because he got all of Florida's delegates, but I've read two stories this morning, one of them in Bloomberg, which basically said Maine is a beauty contest, nothing more, and the winning candidate is not guaranteed Maine's delegates.

Odd. </irony>

Meanwhile the liberal media is PUSHING hard trying to demoralize Romney voters.

You're not kidding! Every news blurb on TV and radio touts the state polls which favor McCain while ignoring the Romney ones. On a lesser scale they are doing the same on the Dem side in favor of Hillary.

The Establishment has picked their two candidates - let's see if the grassroots will have the final say.

Ah yes. Talk radio. On...Friday morning, I believe it was, Chrissy Matthews was actually forced - by something - to mention that McCain’s support comes from independents, “conservative voters don’t like this candidate [McCain] talk radio doesn’t like this candidate [McCain]...” That’s a paraphrase because it was a couple of mornings ago.

Something remarkable is happening, and I pray it will happen BIG.

Miracles abound! God bless Mitt Romney! He’s hangin’ in there. It must be awful, the letdown after Florida and the anointing of a prick who conservatives loathe and despise yet a pol that Americans in general didn’t really know...UNTIL THE SIMI VALLEY, CA DEBATE!! His staff must get credit for keeping their heads and others’ heads up during the pro-McNasty media onslaught immediately following Florida’s results. How could anyone recover after that??

In a poll the day on Wed, McNasty was ahead, the MNM said, by 60% to 20% in CA—40%!!! That was b.s., but it must have really sapped hope out of the Romney Campaign. It certainly depressed ME!

Then, when things were looking darkest for conservatives, one of two miracles happened—the Thursday CA debate! In his egocentric “I am unstoppable; I am the greatest” manner and with an attitude that pissed off the viewing Republicans, McNasty proved his nickname was accurate. He was NASTY! He was a JERK! And Romney was a gentleman and looked absolutely terrific. McNasty, by comparison, looking like an angry old man. I went to bed that night depressed, but hopeful. I said to myself, “NO WAY could CA Republicans or Republicans ANYWHERE vote for a person like that!”, and then the second miracle happened.

The second miracle was Romney’s TROUNCING of McNasty in Maine last night—Romney’s first New England state win and boy, was it A WHOPPER! While only a caucus in a tiny state (pop.-wise), his blowout numbers (winning by 31 pts) was a meesage to conservatives everywhere and gave us all hope.

Imagine what tiny Maine did for Romney and his staff! WOW!! The little state that said “TAKE THIS McNASTY AND STICK IT WHERE THE PROVERBIAL SUN DOESN’T SHINE!”...Not so “tiny” anymore! I LOVE MAINE, in spite of the Kennebumport Bushites...

Don’t forget, my freeper friends. Many of Fred Thompson’s people joined the Romney staff/campaign. That’s a little footnote rarely mentioned in the MNM. While Fred won’t endorse anyone yet, his former STAFF and SUPPORTERS DID by joinin’ the Romney camp!!

Miracles abound...God bless Mitt and his staff...AND GOD BLESS MAINE!!
