If McCain Rolls it's Time to Cross-Over for Obama
Vanity | February 3, 2008 | Buckeye Battle Cry

If John McCain rolls on Super Tuesday then it is time for all Freepers living in remaining primary states to cross-over in your respective primaries and vote for Obama on the dem ballot. It's our best opportunity to stop her because she will crush McCain in November.

If your state has a primary after this Tuesday then make your primary vote count! Stop Hillary!

No way. Hillary has a 50% disapproval rating. That is a mountain to overcome in a general election.

Why Obama? Hillary may be the most conservative candidate running.

I am very disappointed with talk radio and many of the conservative talking heads. Campaigning and opposing a candidate is one thing, and is part of healthy political discourse. However, refusing to support the nominee of your party during the general election, in a time of war no less, is disgraceful. We have been slamming the left for a few years now about their constant defeatism and negativity. We accuse them of wanting the US to fail, wanting the economy to slump, wanting the US to lose in Iraq, because doing so would hurt the GOP and help the liberal cause. Now, we have members of our own party doing essentially the same thing. We have Ann Coulter vowing to vote for Hillary Clinton, with the hope that she runs the country into the ground and mismangages the war so much it causes a massive backlash and returns the power to the conservatives. In essence, conservatives are willing to surrender the war in Iraq, and the war on terror based on a dislike for John McCain.

I am hoping that this is hot air, and that once McCain is officially the nominee they come to their senses and support him. The stakes are too high to play politics when we risk Hillary Clinton as Commander in Chief. As an OIF combat veteran, I plead with you to not allow this to happen. Too many have sacrificed to win this war to give it away because we don't agree with a man's position on global warming or campaign finance reform.

I’d rather poke my eyes out with a sharp stick than to walk into the polls and ask for a democrat ballot.

“Why Obama? Hillary may be the most conservative candidate running.”

Because Hillary is dangerous. Talk to Doug From Upland. She has power, is vicious and vindictive. Plus she made the off-hand comment that she is not against garnering pay-checks directly to fund her Hillary Care nightmare.

Obama has zero shot at winning Florida in the general election. That’s a significant state that the GOP doesn’t have to defend.

Oh please... and has McCain made a commitment NOT to do this? Once the Democrats convince him again that it was HIS idea, McCain would do it in an instant. He's a dupe.

Yes way! Remember, her husband never achieved 50% and he won twice. All she needs is for a 5% swing in people either voting third party or staying home because of hatred of McCain and she wins 47% to 44%. Trust me, the Dems are revved up and will have a massive turn-out.

There is no doubt that both Barak and Hilde are cut and run candidates, Mad John is many things, but he is no cut and run proponent.

BTW, there is an undercurrent of Support for Barack among Republicans, there could be many reasons for that support, but Hillary is the more easily defeatable.

Besides, as long as they are spending their mountain of cash beating each other up they can’t spend that 50 million beating our nominee up....

Obama will be more difficult to defeat than Hillary. She’s polarizing and McCain has independent appeal. Obama is a new face, unlike Hillary, who has been in Washington since 1993.

The donks are winning either way because the right wing is split into three camps not two (based on the arguments on FR)
“Repubs” who will back mccain either because he’s not hillary or they dislike massachusetts, romney or mormons whatever.
“Pure conservatives” that refuse to vote for the lesser of 4 evils and will write in fred, duncan or newt or stay home.
“Gop conservatives” that are happy to back Mitt till the end.
