Total baloney.

I’m not a McCain supporter (Thompson was my choice) but I believe McCain would wipe out Hillary in the general election.

50% of the country simply DOES NOT LIKE HER and many moderate Dimms and Independents will vote for McCain over Hillary. The possibility of another corrupt Clinton presidency will also energize the Republican base like never before and most of them will ultimately vote for McCain - especially if he wisely chooses a conservative running mate.

While John McCain is far from perfect, he would be a MILLION TIMES BETTER than the Hillary Clinton’s brand of socialism, cronyism, corruption, and overall lack of respect for the sanctity of human life.

Don’t discount the braindead Dem vote here, oldsters who’ve been voting Dem since FDR and aren’t about to stop now, no matter how suspicious they are of the nominee. That vote is huge.

The exit polls from FL suggested that Hillary and McCain were the top two choices for old white people who wanted to make sure the government would make sure they didn't have to eat cat food. I honestly don't see old white people in FL trusting Obama over McCain. Most of them probably buy into all the Obama=Muslim/Al Qaeda Manchurian Candidate stuff from Fox News. They think that a black guy would take care of black people as president and not take care of them, especially the old white Jews from NY who never cared for Dinkins, either, like they liked Koch.

And McCain won the female Republican vote in FL, over Romney. Same with Hillary over Obama. I think your friends aren't representative of the state as a whole.

We’ll see. I put little faith in polls, especially this election season when they have been so unreliable. The MSM is openly salivating at the prospect of McCain winning the nomination. That’s not because they want him to be president. That’s because he’s a gimme to Obama or Hillary.

I was citing exit polls from actual voters.

But, yeah, we’ll see how it turns out for ourselves, I guess.

McCain does not stand a chance against Hill/Bill or Obama. He is a flawed candidate on so many levels. Conservatives will not rally round him, certainly not in large numbers. Either Hill/Bill or Obama would cream McCain. They are fabulous speakers, bring energy to their supporters, quick on the draw, somewhat attractive, very persuasive, and relatively young. Leave ideas out of the arena for a moment. There is absolutely nothing in McCain to draw support from the uneducated, uninformed, apathetic voters of this country. I was sick watching Dole run against Clinton, and have the same feeling even thinking about a McCain run.

“McCain does not stand a chance against Hill/Bill or Obama.”

I respectfully disagree, but we will see this November.
