If McCain Rolls it's Time to Cross-Over for Obama
Vanity | February 3, 2008 | Buckeye Battle Cry

If John McCain rolls on Super Tuesday then it is time for all Freepers living in remaining primary states to cross-over in your respective primaries and vote for Obama on the dem ballot. It's our best opportunity to stop her because she will crush McCain in November.

Romney is getting completely trounced by both Obama and Hillary. Makes you wonder where all his support is coming from.

So please tell me why Obama would be better than Hillary. Either one stinks (even if Obama is clean). Either one will be a disaster. My personal feeling is go ahead and vote for the Republican and let the Dimwits destroy each other.

I have always said you get what you want. And I think this country needs a good shaking up. As bad as it sounds think what would happen to the Democrats in 2012 if they are in power in 2008 (which is probably going to happen) and the economy really, really crashes and we have 3,000 dead from a terrorist attack, and immigration gets completely out of control. I know that is a doomsday thinking but many times the only way you know when something needs to be corrected is when it is really bad. Not like today with all the wishful thinking about a recession or safe from terrorists or we need immigrants. We need to really be impacted by these things for the population to do something about it.

One of my best examples is the space race. We were so damn complacent in our belief that we were God’s gift to space exploration that when Sputnik went up it sent our country into deep despair. Then we finally woke up and decided to do something about it.

I think the same is with the socialistic thinking that is starting to grow here. Until it is completely in power will the population finally decide to do something about it. So I say bring it on because the Republicans have no candidate now who is any better than the Democrats. So we might as well be able to blame the Democrats when it happens.

I will never vote for a flaming liberal. If McCain is the nominee, I will vote for him without hesitation.

“How is Obama better than Hildebeast?”

Granted, he is just as liberal, if not more so than Hillary. But, he doesn’t have an axe to grind, the FBI files and a Saul Alinsky passion to turn this country socialist. Plus, the Bradley Effect will make him unelectable - especially if there is a major terrorist flare-up between now and November.

If McCain rolls the Republican Party may as well strike the tents.

Romney has two things against him: He’s a conservative in a liberal year. He’s a Mormon.

I frankly don’t think it would be easy for Romney to win the Presidency this time around. Maybe he could get elected VP, on a ticket with McCain. If McCain were smart, he’d bury the hatchet and put him on the ticket like Reagan put Bush on the ticket in 1980. I’m not sure that McCain is that smart, though, and he tends to bear a grudge over everything. He takes everything personally.

“I will never vote for a flaming liberal. If McCain is the nominee, I will vote for him without hesitation.”

I’m not talking about the general election in November. I’m talking about stopping Hillary in the primaries and forcing her to fight and spend money all the way to the convention. If she’s in a dog-fight with Obama all the way to Denver, she won’t be able to do to McCain what Bill did to Dole in `96.

It’s called “taking one for the team!”

I'm not sure about his supposed lack of socialist passion, but you make a number of very good points. I'll concede the point.

Excuse me, but there isn’t enough room between hillary and john to slide a piece of paper.

And there is no real evidence to support the contention that hillary will cut and run.
Some women have a nasty mean streak in them and she is one of them.

Now, I know that she will say anything to be elected - big surprise - but Iraq is already there, and the hard work is already done.
She can easily spin that to her advantage and claim all of the credit.

No way will I ever support McCain.
I wouldn’t support him if he was the last republican in America.

And, I am glad that this is not a Republican forum.
