Wow. Outstanding, thank you so much for finding and posting this!!

I know Mitt Romney has been using the term Global Jihad for at least a year now, if not more. He makes a point of it, and I know he “gets it.”

I am among those who believe -- and see -- that this country (and other democracies) are marked for violence, aggression and terror.

Yet, we are led to believe that the most threatening thing we face is GLOBAL WARMING and health care...

Thanks for the ping. It is a fantastic article!

“I know Mitt Romney has been using the term Global Jihad for at least a year now, if not more. He makes a point of it, and I know he “gets it.””

Romney uses the words, but I’m not sure he’s yet fully aware of the threat. Don’t forget that it wasn’t so very long ago that he said he admired Hezbollah and also, that the LDS church gave million to Islamic Relief Worldwide, an Hamas-affiliated charity. A McCain staffer asked Romney about this. Romney called the guy a bigot and McCain had the staffer fired. (Doesn’t speak well for McCain either).

Walid Phares mentioned in his email earlier this week that the candidate also must be aware of the threat inside our own country and that we have infiltrations at the highest levels of government.

As I said, it is one thing to be able to use all the words. It is quite another to actually understand the threat of Islam, both here and abroad. If Coughlin could be fired from his job at the Pentagon because he knows the score and isn’t Arab-friendly enough, then we certainly do have a problem within. Romney is a “tolerant” sort of guy. Will he appease jihadists in our own country? If he really wants to pursue knowledge in this area of national security, he’d do well to pay attention to someone like Claudia Rosett or Steve Emerson.

I stand by my prior statement that Romney’s campaign has put in a lot of effort toward learning the lingo. At least that’s a start in the right direction. But words don’t mean much if the actual understanding isn’t there. So, we’ll see.
