Citing an "overwhelming response," Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul has moved his caucus-eve rally at the University of Minnesota tonight to a larger venue.
Originally scheduled to be held at Coffman Union, the event has been moved to Northrop Auditorium.
Paul, a congressman from Texas, has consistently lagged in polls of the Republican field, but his fundraising has been robust in Minnesota and nationwide, fueled largely by Internet donations.

No comment from your's truly.....
They love him up here. I can’t fathom why.
APf
Did it move to Bellview, maybe?
Yeah, maybe he can be convinced to move here and run against Keith Ellison....
;-)
I can see Ron Paul running third party, he has the money. Question is, what’ll that do? The vote he has gotten so far indicates he’s siphoning off pretty much an equal ammount from both dems and pubs, so I don’t think it’ll have the Nader effect. If the candidates become Hitlary and Mclame he may just be the dark horse.
I never thought I be in this position of considering Paul but given our options I just may.
I do think that Ron Paul is gaining on the leaders of the pack. He’s putting himself forward as the alternative to McCain & Romney, and if Romney drops out, he’ll be the alternative to McCain.
Frankly, if it’s McCain/Huckabee, then I will be hoping that Ron Paul runs as a third party candidate.
One bit of good news is that Paul tends to siphon away moonbat votes from McCain.
He is heavily involved with the wacko 9/11 Truthers and a phony fiscal conservative. He packs the federal budget with pork for his district, then votes against the conference bill that he knows will pass, so he can claim he voted against the federal spending.
They probably moved the meeting because the coat closet at the Coffman Union was too small.
Oh geez! You owe me a new keyboard! Really BTLD!
(If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny)
He’s not going to win, but since I swore I’d never vote for McCain, Ron Paul might get my vote. Only way I can see myself voting for McCain is if he nominates a VP I can support for President, and right now, that doesn’t seem likely.

I hate to say it but I was a Giuliani supporter before he dropped out.
There were things I didn’t care for but all in all, I thought he was good on budget issues as well as the WOT.
Now, I’m with Romney. I went to his rally on Saturday night. A very well-attended event with such short notice. I made a financial contribution last week via his website.
I’m not sure if I’m gonna be able to go to caucuses tomorrow night because of work. We’ll see.
Isn't this this state that elected Jesse "the body" Ventura as their governor? Kinda says a lot right there.
I can't stand McCain, but I'd vote for him before I'd vote for Ron Paul.
Flat out Lie. Show us this please. He said during a debate the he did not believe in the conspiracy 9/11 garbage.
They love him up here... why.
Pot smokers, Canadian dope is good smoke. Ron Paul’s economic plan is as undefined as the Democrats.
Positive I’m going to caucus to vote Romney, letting McDole hand the elect to either Democrat is something I hope not to ever see. Romney has the best economic argument too.
Aren’t you that clown that Ron Paul fired? How’s that working out for you?
Did you think I expected you to be honest about it? Enough with the libel though, you are making yourself look stupid.
Now, since you've swallowed all the propaganda drummed up by Paul's enemies, which of his positions SPECIFICALLY do you not like?
Pro-RKBA? Anti-IRS? Pro-National DEFENSE. Closed border? Pro-Life? Smaller government? Sane energy policy?
Which one of these do you have a problem with?
Paul: Into 9/11?
Students for 9/11 Truth Member: Yeah, into 9/11. I mean, if it was Dennis Kucinich and you, thered be congressional support. You know what I mean? So you wouldnt be the only one.
Paul: Itd be bipartisan, too. And Ive worked with Dennis a lot on a lot of these issues.
Students for 9/11 Truth Member: So I mean, would you advocate for a new investigation into 9/11?
Paul: Yes, I think we have to look at the details of it.
There could be a better investigation because theres a split in government. So I would certainly consider that and think it could be worthwhile. If you do the same thing over and over again, youre just spinning your wheels. But I would certainly work with Dennis. So Ill talk to Dennis and hes in a position now in the party majority, so he might have a better chance with it.
Students for 9/11 Truth Member: Yeah, he has subpoena power and everything, so
Paul: And wed have a better chance of getting a new investigation. Too often investigations on almost any issue is usually a cover-up.
Plus look where so much of his money came from.
As far as budget legislation, look at the federal $ for his district that HE put in the budget!
Yeah, Ron Paul is still in the race,,,, like a 1958 Nash Ramber is in the Indy 500!

As I just informed someone else on another thread......
You knew the risks when you came here.

Love it all but the olive loaf!

Now I KNOW you're not going to tell me that all 4,000 folks were truthers or white supremacists.
Truthers? Kluckers? no.
It’s easy to get 4000. Just rent the cafeteria at the State Hospital as he did.
:~)
No, that would be Mitt Romney's choice, as his father was an executive with American Motors.
