Okay folks. The reason I had to post this "article" is because it explains, what I think, is exactly what we are fighting and why the Republican party is what it is today. I think people like this SJ, sorry, correction, SHEEPLE like this SJ have bought our party down.

If the Republican Party is going to stand for nothing, we are all better off if it is destroyed. Right now it is just taking up the space where a real conservative party could exist, if given the opportunity.
I am, by this definition, not a true Republican. I will not vote for John McCain.
It is time to start a new party, or fortify one of the other alternatives.
They aren’t satisfied with getting rid of the religious right. Now they want to drive a permanent wedge in the Republican Party. After the debacle of a McCain slaughter in November, we will need to start putting together a Conservative Party and keep the RINOs out.

I don’t really know his politics. But he was at the Bush I inauguration. Wife and I saw him there (it was while he was on Knott’s Landing).
I used to get upset with people who said they would rather vote third party or not at all than to vote for ________. But I've changed my position since Rudy and Ronnie were/are running. I would not have been able to bring myself to vote for either of them in the general election.
I'm not either, though I've been a card-carrying, contributing Republican since 1980, because I cannot vote for neigher Romney, nor McCain, I'm no longer welcome it seems.
You DO seem a tad uppity! I think you need to “hold your nose” and vote rino, ya know, to bring you back down to earf! Maybe you should “walk amongst the real people” to get a grip. Heck, you and Rush can do it together!

It had become obvious to me when there was so much support for tootyfruityrudy on this website, which drove JimRob to finally open up the BugZapper thread. Now that Fred has dropped out, maybe JimRob will implement this suggestion I put forward on a couple of threads:
When all the smoke clears, if Hunter doesn’t get the nomination, I have one more suggestion for all of us remaining conservative freepers. It would make sense for us to have an idealogy score, a set of questions with rankings of how important the issue is and how strongly a freeper agrees/disagrees with it. We could all put these results on our home pages, so that when another freeper is debating with us (or us with them) we could just go to their home page, check their score on that issue & others, and realize “Ohhh, this is a Ron Paul supporter” or “ohh, this guy is a small l libertarian” or “ohh, this guy is a Big F FISCAL Conservative and a small l social liberal.”
It’s okay for FR to be inundated with RINOs or have a bunch of liberals posting here, as long as they’re up front about it.

Putting it bluntly - the guy who wrote this article is a pointed 180 degrees in the wrong direction.
Why the Conservative Movement has stalled in the past 6 years is because we’ve ascribed to exactly this kind of Rove / Morris political balkanization by group identification. The Rove political machine abandoned persuasion and adopted pandering.
They bought cache’s of votes with Senior Prescriptions, Steel Tariffs, corn subsidies, etc. etc.
Ronald Reagan expoused the principles of the sovereign individual and lifted an entire nation. The message appeals to thinking people of ALL constituencies. Until we once again adopt, persuasion in lieu of sub group pandering - Conservatives, and Americans will continue the slow but steady slide into social tyranny.

I think that’s why most of us are so upset now a days. I can only vote my conscience which is exactly what I’m going to do. If I need to stand alone, so be it.
