Another reason to vote for Romney, he was not chosen by Bill Clinton as the right choice to run against his wife.

Actually, I was told by a moderator that the really well written ones get to stay and that they even created a vanity section to the News/Activism board for the REALLY good stuff. I guess this one was really well thought out and the writing was superb! LOL

There are no good reasons to vote for McCain, Romney, Hucklebee or Paul.

Romney pandered in Michigan ... now pandering to the AARP in California ... he is a leftist RINO (calls against McCain for McCain rightly voting against Medicare Rx) ... a fraud.!

How can you Mittbots defend this man? Maybe you and Romney should be rallying at DU!

Free Republic is very divided now and the alternative parties are smelling the blood in the water, the libs and the Paulista nuts are loving it the most.

Free Republic has always survived, we will continue to do so.

Thank you. I'm not a fan of Romney or McCain but I'm getting really tired of nonsense reasons to support or oppose candidates.

Exactly. (If I wanted to take a trip to Ad Hominenville, I'd visit DU...that's all these Huck threads are getting to be...non-sensical burnings in the bosom against Huckabee...with McCain & Romney, specific track reasons are often given...not so with Huck...it's open season on him...exactly like it's open season on the womb)

Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans(suckers), has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced, instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.

ROMNEY IS NO CONSERVATIVE! HE HASN’T CHANGED. His pandering in Michigan and now with the Medicare Rx calls prove this.!

Don’t believe the hype!

I tend to prefer actual reasoning based on evidence over perception (his heads to square, etc.) when at all possible.

Neither McCain nor Romney are for smaller government. You’re right that Mitt’s attacks on McCain for voting against the Medicare prescription drugs boondogle is more proof of that. The only candidate on the ballot tomorrow who is truly for smaller government is Ron Paul.

This is total BS. MA Governor can only appoint judges from a list (provided by a liberal legislature). There are no conservatives in that list, that’s for sure.

I think the MSM knows who really is conservative and who they can’t manipulate. That person is Mitt Romney.

All of those positions on illegal immigration are why my fiancee and I are voting for Romney.

Problem: Willard Myth Romney is a phony and a fraud. At one time or another Romney has betrayed the Constitution, Reaganism, the Contract With America and the Republican Party.

*** Back in 2005, Romney was calling the McCain-Kennedy-Bush comprehensive immigration reform package, which btw included amnesty, “reasonable proposals”. Since that time Romney has unbelievably morphed into a Tancredo clone. Mitt the Phony!

*** In 1994 Romney was trying to run to the left of Fat Ted Kennedy on the abortion issue. He says he had an epiphany a few years back and now calls himself pro-life. Yet he was still upholding a womans right to choose in 2005. Mitt the Fraud!

*** Romney has stated, he would sign a federal assault weapons ban if it came to his desk. Recently, Romney said he was a lifetime hunter and supported the NRA his entire life. We now know that is BS. He joined the NRA in 2006. Mitt the Liar!

*** Romney has a record of advancing homosexual rights, in a leading liberal state that has elected Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, election cycle after election cycle, decade after decade. Mitt Panderer!

*** Also, Romney has a long history of supporting campaign finance reform and restrictions even more stringent than McCain-Feingold legislation. He supported banning Political Action Committees (PACS) and called for a ten percent tax on campaign contributions, along with capping campaign spending on congressional elections. Mitt the Hypocrite!

Romney’s only real accomplishment as Governor of Massachusetts was to propose the first ever statewide health care program in America. Romney wants the federal government to take over 1/7th of the US economy by shoving a version of his RomneyCare down the throats of the American people. Mandates, subsidies and regulations aren’t what the US health care system needs. That is the first step on the road to socialized medicine. Mitt the Social-Liberal!

Typical ignorant Romney supporter.

The Massachusetts Constitution gives sole nominating authority to the Governor. He can nominate a non-lawyer if he desires too. Mitt set up his own Judicial bureaucracy so that he wouldn't have to sully his hands, nor make a decision, and also he didn't and doesn't know anybody."Article IX. All judicial officers, shall be nominated and appointed by the governor, by and with the advice and consent of the council; and every such nomination shall be made by the governor, and made at least seven days prior to such appointment."http://www.mass.gov/legis/const.htm

"Romney, despite his opposition to same-sex marriage, in May selected for a district court judgeship Stephen S. Abany, a former board member of the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association who organized the group's opposition to a 1999 bill to outlaw same-sex marriage. Just two days before the nomination, Romney was lamenting the liberal tilt of the state's bench, telling Fox News that ''our courts have a record here in Massachusetts, don't they, of being a little blue and being Kerry-like."

Even the Massachusetts gays can not keep up with switch hitting Myth.

''I've long since given up trying to figure out what makes Mitt Romney tick," said Joyce Kauffman, former cochairwoman of the Massachusetts Lesbian and Gay Bar Association."

The bickering between Romney and McCain has really put me off lately. I don't like the way either are behaving.

Guess I'll have to go with Ann Coulter and join the Hillary camp. Sounds like a perfectly normal reaction.
