That should be enough to make you run as far from McCain as you can.

When The Boston Globe endorsed McCain a few weeks back that was the clincher in my decision not to vote for him.

No doubt about it. Look at the cover of Newsweek. It’s downright embarrassing.

I urge all FReepers to vote Romney. If McCain wins the nomination, I will vote for either Lou Dobbs or the Constitution Party. I don’t give a @&%* what letter is next to McCain’s name.

I talked to a friend on Romney’s Senior staff. Apparently McCain’s team has been trying to retruit Romney’s staff all day, trying to get them to jump ship before tuesday. McCain has no dignity. No matter what, Romney is the best man and the stronger leader. Tuesday and/or time will show that.

I’m voting enthusiastically for Romney. America is in a position right now where the economy should be the biggest priority, and his business credentials are impeccable. He has proven it with his work at Bain Capital, as a governor and as the head of the Salt Lake City olympics.

Follow that up with the fact that he has lived such a clean, devout family life (a man’s family life says more about him than any words can) and that’s my guy.

Another reason to vote for Romney, he was not chosen by Bill Clinton as the right choice to run against his wife.

There are no good reasons to vote for McCain, Romney, Hucklebee or Paul.

Romney pandered in Michigan ... now pandering to the AARP in California ... he is a leftist RINO (calls against McCain for McCain rightly voting against Medicare Rx) ... a fraud.!

How can you Mittbots defend this man? Maybe you and Romney should be rallying at DU!

Governor Mitt Romney, who touts his conservative credentials to out-of-state Republicans(suckers), has passed over GOP lawyers for three-quarters of the 36 judicial vacancies he has faced, instead tapping registered Democrats or independents -- including two gay lawyers who have supported expanded same-sex rights, a Globe review of the nominations has found.

I think the MSM knows who really is conservative and who they can’t manipulate. That person is Mitt Romney.

The bickering between Romney and McCain has really put me off lately. I don't like the way either are behaving.

Guess I'll have to go with Ann Coulter and join the Hillary camp. Sounds like a perfectly normal reaction.

In selecting men for office, let principle be your guide. Regard not the particular sect or denomination of the candidate—look to his character. . . . When a citizen gives his suffrage to a man of known immorality he abuses his trust; he sacrifices not only his own interest, but that of his neighbor, he betrays the interest of his country.

[Noah Webster, Letters to a Young Gentleman Commencing His Education to which is subjoined a Brief History of the United States (New Haven: S. Converse, 1823), pp. 18, 19.]

______________________________________________________________________
(Prophetic)
When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, “just men who will rule in the fear of God.” The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this duty; if the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the laws; the public revenues will be sqandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizens will be violated or disregarded. If a republican government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the divine commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the laws.

[Noah Webster, History of the United States (New Haven: Durrie & Peck, 1832), pp. 336-337, 49.]
