Success In A Leader

Super Tuesday: Whatever legitimate objections there are to the candidacy of Mitt Romney, being a successful businessman is not one of them. Washington can always use someone with real world achievement.

Anyone who slams the former Republican governor of Massachusetts ought to have the decency and good sense to do it based on the justifiable concerns he provokes.

His flip-flops on issues ranging from abortion to the Bush tax cuts not only raise questions about the candidate's veracity and character, they have only served to harm Romney himself throughout the campaign in getting support from the GOP base, which doesn't like having the wool pulled over its eyes by fake conservatives.

Given his father's failed ambitions for the presidency, one cannot help wondering if — like Ted Kennedy running in 1980 — Romney doesn't really know why he should be president, just that he should (because that's what someone with that last name does).

In spite of these important objections, however, this unexpectedly popular would-be president should not be criticized for — especially in supposedly pro-business quarters — his skill and knowledge in the private sector.

From the left, Romney has been attacked as a villain who, like some kind of modern-day robber baron, bought and sold companies, after which, as one critic put it, "sometimes people lost their jobs. That's the nature of that business."

Flip Flops??

Not really. Flips, not flops.

He has turned in all the right directions.

McCain on the other hand, has flopped on the most important ones.

Huckabee, a supposed man of moral character, is now working as a spoiler for McCain. Huckabee has spent the last two weeks attacking Romney from behind while McCain attacks from the front.

Why has Huckabee not gone after McCain on all the issues that a conservative Christian would??? Hmmm????

I casted my vote this morning for Mitt Romney, exactly because he has turned in all the right directions

I support Romney for reasons of economics and no other candidate out there has his experience or understanding of this area. For anyone who wants to rip him on this subject please explain how you have been more successful in this area than him.

He’s running to the right to get the nomination. If nominated he would move back to the center. He would probably govern in that center right area, with conservatives holding his feet to the fire. I think he would be a very good to excellent President and he is not my preference.
