Good news - one of my best friends is from Montana and he’s for Romney - some Mormons in the state, but he’s not one.

Agreed. West Virginia exposed the MCCain-Huckebee strategy beyond all doubt.
To: icwhatudo
Montana is winner take all and you do not have to get over 50%.
To: icwhatudo
If this is a causus and a candidate has to have more than 50% to win, then a deal will be cut. McCain will most likely win this one. Perfectly legit to make the deal. This has been done in Iowa for years (until the GOP wimped out and got rid of the 15% threshold rule).
To: icwhatudo
And there are 25 delegates for MT.
To: cotton1706
My guess is that Romney ends up kicking McCain’s rear today.

I hope you are right. Otherwise there will be another deal made amongst the tag team.
To: Truthsearcher
Excellent! Although I’m sure McScampaign has a fix worked up for Montana regardless.

Like the deal MCain & Huckabee just pulled in West Va.!!!!
I’m going to sleep - have not enough medication for this *McCain Landslide* cr*p from the media.
McCain has 102 delegates, Mitt has 93, H’bee 79 & uncommitted 23. How the h*ll is that a landslide?????

Well, if that is the case, then a deal will not be cut.

Just this moment got back from voteing in NY. The sight of that pathetic line of names of Republican candidates is a sadder and more frightening thing than I ever thought I would live to see.
God help us.

My guess is that Romney gets crushed, almost across the board. Game set match, McCain will get destroyed in the general election

What’s to keep McCain from cutting a deal regardless of a majority requirement? Can’t they change once committed as soon as they see the writing on the wall?

Romney supporters are going to feel a lot better about McCain getting the 235 delegates from winner-take-all states New York, New Jersey, Arizona and Connecticut if Romney ends up getting 173 delegates from winner-take-all states Delaware, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota and Utah.

Recent exit polling in Arizona has it tied 36% to 36% Romney/mccain. How sweet it would be to see queeg lose his own state.

Sad when it’s backroom deals that could win this stuff and not really what the people for.
