In a surprise twist after a chaotic Super Tuesday, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) passed Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) in network tallies of the number of delegates the candidates racked up last night.
Clinton was portrayed in many news accounts as the nights big winner, but Obamas campaign says he wound up with a higher total where it really counts the delegates who will choose the partys nominee at this summers Democratic convention.
With the delegate count still under way, NBC News said Obama appears to have won around 840 delegates in yesterdays contests, while Clinton earned about 830 give or take a few, Tim Russert, the networks Washington bureau chief, said on the Today show.
The running totals for the two, which includes previous contests and the party officials known as superdelegates, are only about 70 delegates apart, Russert said.
wait forHillary’s demand to count florida now that she needs them.
Boma Boma Boma Boma Boma Boma
Boma Boma Boma Boma Boma Boma
Boma Boma Boma Boma Boma Boma
GO BOMA!!!!!1111111!!!!!111!!!!111!!!
First order of battle is destroy the Hill-Bill Clinton machine. We’ll take care of the rest later
This could get good.
.....and Michigan.
She’ll win either by hook or by crook. Well, in her case it is definitely the latter.
If she doesn’t come out ahead here, wait for the tears to start flowing!
For fans of girl fights -- fingernails scratching windmill punching gouging grabbing hair-- look for a Florida delegate fight at the convention if Boma and Hill are close enough
Obama gave a very inspiring speech last night but it was late into the evening. Probably only those in the west were awake late enough to hear it. Hillary just screeched through her speech, but in was earlier so more people probably heard hers.
Hope this delegate count in favor of Obama is true but the numbers on screen all morning long on the lazy liberal media outlets still show Hitlery with a delegate lead of about 80....Hmmmmmmmmm!!
Its gonna be Hillary/Obama 2008... Hillorama!
I whole heartedly agree.
Hillary loses votes every time she speaks. Can you imagine her debating McCain or Huckabee. Huckabee is the best speaker of all the candidates and even McCain is much better than Hillary.
Obama sure can give a rousing, inspiring speech. . .yet say so little. A chicken in every pot, pot for every chicken, change is on the way, yes we can, blah blah blah. But at the end of the day this guy has nadda clue about how to deliver on any of this BS. Is that really you Jimmah Carter wearing an Obama suit?
Yep, the ball was already put in the court by her 2 weeks ago.
Should be an interesting election. Both parties are being torn to shreds. The democrat racists will stay home and refuse to vote for obama. The Obama supporters will refuse to vote for hillary if she steals the nomination.
I need not rehash what will happen if McCain is the nominee.
With all the people staying home this election, the presidency may be decided by 3 people voting, and half of them will be drunk.
Michael Reagan was on Fox News this morning and said Hillary gave the best speech last night and sounded “Reaganesque”. IMO she sounded like her usual dull screechy self so not sure what he’s thinking. The left coast is just plain weird much of the time!
Re: Huckabee is the best speaker of all the candidates
You must be kidding.
I wish Obama was a Republican.
Shell win by hook AND by crook..........
She already has. Says it isn't fair..........
Get a good burglar alarm.
Buy a gun (or two). Learn how to use them.
Watch six.
Trust Nobody.
Stay away from Ft. Marcy Park.
Obama had to win big last night to make it solo. Didn’t happen. He will be her Veep.
Too bad the Democrat’s Super Delegates are too fine and upstanding to be bought and paid for by an unscrupulous candidate like Hillary and Bill...
So true. The other night our neighbors received a call from a pollster wanting to speak to a registered voter. She simply said before hanging up, "Right now, all the registered voters are drunk."
Yeah, for the third time I may add.
Hillary has such a GRATING voice. The substance of what she says is worst.
Barak Obama is for sure the biggest surprise in this election. No one ever though 6 weeks ago that Barak Obama is going to be where he is now, in fact everyone expected the easy coronation of Hillary Clinton. On the contrary the Clintons and their political machine have been fighting tooth and nail, with ultimate sleaze and dirt to win the nomination. Hillary Clinton still has 90% chance of ending up the nominee but this election proved the most fatal flaw regarding Hillary Clinton, herself. She is the meanest and most unlikable candidate to run for President in decades if not in generations and for this alone she is not going to be elected President.
My semi-tongue-in-cheek prediction is that Obama will win the Democrat nomination and the Republican Party establishment will nominate Hillary, saying she has the best chance to stop him. Fred Barnes and Bill Kristol will say that conservatives have no place else to go, and need to “grow up” and support the more conservative choice.
:)
Hillary looses votes especially when she starts in with the ex-mother-in-law shriek. That noise reminds me of the sounds the ringwraiths make on Lord of the Rings.
I would agree with you to the extent that I don’t want to see either Hillary, McCain or Obama as president.
And no, I don’t thing either Hillary or McCain has the requisite character for the job. I don’t know enough about Obama, but things seem so bad I think many of us are grasping at straws at this point.
I can’t see any of the three, or Huckabee, ever getting my vote.
Except for the not so small matter of his policies - like being pro abortion and pro illegals, and weak on defense, I really like this guy. He gave a great inspiring speech last night. No race baiting, no divisiveness, in fact the opposite of that. However, Hillary in her speech last night spent a bunch of time bashing Republicans and Bush. Then she did a run down of the victims = the single mom who can’t get insurance....etc. her standard stuff and of course she will fix it all.
I agree that getting rid of Hillbilly is the priority...Well, Obama did say that “there is one candidate who has taken more lobbyist money than the Republican candidates combined”...so it wasn’t all platitudes.
I agree with your sentiments and have been rooting accordingly.
You’re right, I’m grasping at straws. I thought the 2006 elections were tough. That’s nothing compared to the amnesty revolution we’re going to see this year.
I send that this should be moved to Breaking News.
Except for one thing--it looks like she'll be running against John "Cuddly" McCain.
I know I’m in pure anger mode right now. I know Obama’s polices are right out of the communist manifesto. But we all know who McCain is. So as Rush says who would we rather have destroy the counrty? Maybe Rush should go a step further and advocate a new political party.
A mean man is more acceptable to people than a mean woman. That is our human nature.
But is he evil like hillary, is he the vindictive hateful man that McCain is, a man that will use the powers of his office to destroy those he dislkes and views as an obstacle to his goals?
Hillary -- non-super 689 + super 211 = total 900
Obama -- non-super 696 + super 128 = total 824
Here is the link.
Thanks for clarifying. if you hadn’t had mentioned Muslims part i wouldn’t have known if you were talking about McCain, Hillary or Obama.
He is but in some parts of the country they're called Democrats.
Pretty scary that all of them have such problems but although I disagree with McCain on 80% of his positions I don’t think he would sell out the US to radical Muslims, just Jose.
Sad, but true.
For one thing, I think this time around it is too obvious that Hitlery is fighting with “ultimate sleaze and dirt” whereas Osama’s dirt is being kept in the background and most sheeple are too ignorant to know about it. Her shrill voice is a turnoff, as are her disgusted facial expressions. She just is not likable.
Agree 100%.
Bought? Don’t forget those 900 FBI Files that they had. Better than money............
