McCain Sends 'Chill Down Spine,' Reid Cites Cochran By Josiah Ryan CNSNews.com Staff Writer February 06, 2008

On the Spot (CNSNews.com) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said the possibility of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) becoming president "sends a cold chill down my spine."

Reid made his remarks Tuesday outside the Senate chambers when a reporter asked him about McCain, who is running for the Republican Party nomination for president.

Pulling out his wallet and removing a white piece of paper, Reid told the reporter: "All I have to say about that is this. I have it right here, and you can put it in your little recording devices."

Then, reading aloud, and quoting Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) from an interview last Friday, Reid said: "The thought of him [McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper, and he worries me." Listen to Audio

Reid then placed the piece of paper back in his wallet and continued taking reporter's questions.

1) The Hillary machine is cranking up.

2) Pigs are sprouting wings because Harry and I are in agreement here.

Yes but he wants you to think he/they is/are scared of McCain so you will vote for him thinking he can win so the end result is the Dim machine can wax his arse, as it will.

Classic facade move. They want McCain in November. Wake up.

There you have it. This is what reaching out to the other side buys you every time.

And John McCain, having been in Washington, D.C. for decades still doesn't know it.

Wow, I've got a great idea. Let's put him in charge. /s

That slimey worm Reid isn’t even worth to shine McCains shoes.
While McCain DOES send me a chill down the spine, Reid makes me vomit.

Few politicians are as loathsome as Harry Reid. Sadly, McCain is a member of that club.

Democrats are so full of BS. Reid knows that if McCain is the pick of the Republicans, democrats will win. That why they want him. Romney scares the hell out of democrats. Huck is just staying in as a spoiler. Everyone knows he can’t win, won’t win, and Huck knows he won’t win. His only goal is to not let Romney win. Wouldn’t surprise me if he’s being payed to stay in the race.

It’s already starting.
The Dems will have the long knives out on him more and more now.
Wait till you start hearing the “McCain is looking tired”, “McCain suffers all the time from his age”.
They will start showing the “man he looks old” pictures any time now that they think he’s got it wrapped up.
They can’t even wait until he’s the nom.

Why gove Reid credit for being "pro-life" whan he sleeps with the enemy? If Reid were president, what kind of justices would he appoint? Being the DemocRAT senate majority leader and saying you're pro-life is no different than saying "I am personally opposed to abortion but would not interfere with a woman's right to choose".

Either way, Harry is aiding or enabling the side that favors abortion on demand. The fact that he is "pro-life" and pitches his tent with the DemocRATS makes him less admirable, IMO. If being pro-life meant anything to him, he'd be on the right side, which he is not.

Everyone of you praising Harry Reid for this, God Blessing him and so forth, are fools.

Go ahead keep praising Harry Reid who tried to sell out or allies, our national security, your sons and daughters fighting overseas.

Why, some of you are so smart you've figured out that Hilary, Obama and Reid are great people for attacking McCain, why McCain is the real enemy let's all embrace Harry Reid, Hilary Clinton, Obama, Biden, Durbin, Leahy, the list is endless of your new "friends".

Only an absolute fool would say "God Bless Harry Reid".

Reid ain’t in the loop. All the power is in the chairmanships. They let Dingy Harry have the title of leader because he is such an idiot, he thinks his stupid title makes him leader. McCain has and will do more heavy lifting for the Democrat agenda in the Senate than Reid ever thought about doing.

Reid said: "The thought of him [McCain] being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper, and he worries me."

These are the exact assertions in Monday's thread/Vanity by poster ScratInTheHat. Compare and hope for the best friends.
And hope that some how, some way, Romney can get the nomination.

Vanity: McCain's dirt will be used in the general if he is Nominee!

Well, if Reid doesn’t like McCain, maybe he isn’t so bad afterall.

On the other hand, this was predictable. His friends in the major media will start stomping on him as soon as he is nominated.

I Think they got the quote wrong, I’m sure Reid actually said: “The thought of him being president sends goose bumps down my spine. He is erotic. He is hot. He loses his affiliation, and he woo’s me.”

A McCain/Thompson ticket is the answer. It would bring the conservatives on board and turn McCains ill health into a plus.
