I guess the left is having a hard time giving up their Bush rage. They just can't moveon.org. It's interesting that Josh Brolin is following in his father's footsteps in playing a Republican that he undoubtedly despises.

And Brolin’s step-mom is nigh-on-to-apoplectic.

Yep....and Babs is already on the record opposing Josh’s involvement in the project.

Hard to believe that Stone could defame him any more than he as embarrassed himself. Maybe he will falsely portray him as a conservative.

Stone's out to p*ss away any goodwill earned from "World Trade Center".

TS
(I'll say that I didn't hate it -- you really can't say you "enjoyed" that film, if only for the subject matter. I guess "well done" would work.)

This movie will probably bomb as badly as “Alexander”. Did any of you see this flick? I’m a history teacher (and consequently was looking forward to it). It turned out to be the most expensive piece if excrement to come out of Hollywood in years. Stone truly embarrassed himself. I don’t think the film even made back 1/6th of what it cost to create.

Let me guess, it takes place in Vietnam and Bush is this dope smoking hippie who is hated by this hard ass soldier by the name of John McCain who becomes Genghis Khan when not smoking dope, which everybody did in Vietnam...

Great news everyone! I bought everyone of FR a ticket to go see an advance screening! Surely Oliver Stone will put his politics behind him and give his audience a fair and accurate portrayal of President Bush, don’t you think?

"I'll give a brief synopsis. It'll be an uplifting, positive pro-American movie detailing the overthrow of two tyrannical Islamo-fascist countries, the spark given to the economy by Bush's tax cuts, and the appointment of conservative supreme court justices. However Stone will show his disapproval of Bush's excessive spending and lack of will to close the borders against illegal aliens.

A subplot will be the evil efforts of George Soros and Moveon.org to undermine the presidential elections with another negative story about CBS and Dan Rather to smear Bush. John Kerry and Al Gore will come off poorly. Overall Stone will try to depict Bush and conservatives in a positive light and show libs and leftists to be the anti-American tools they really are. (smirk)

Fascinating that no movie from the Hollywood trash producers has been made about clinton. If that clown would have had an R next to his name, we’d be on a 9th or 10 sequel by now. If any of these hollywood scum would show some guts and, ah, never mind...

Here's the latest update: Oliver Stone is set to film W., a biopic on the life and presidency of George W. Bush.

A little premature for this????

Currently, Josh Brolin is set to play Bush, but who's going to portray Laura?

Reports are that actress Elizabeth Banks is currently in the final negotiations to play Laura.

Banks just recently finished shooting a movie titled Zack and Miri Make a Porno.

The W. film will begin shooting in April or May in Louisiana.

"It'll star Josh Brolin as GWB."

Why do that? Josh is a gifted young actor who is on the way up. Why alienate half of your potential audience? These are the roles you take when the old career is headed for palookaville and you want to squeeze out a couple more years on the "A" list.

"Did any of you see this flick?"

The editing was soooooo bad you literally could have chopped the movie into 5 pieces, reassembled them in any random order and it would have made as much narrative sense as the product Stone shipped out the door. I am not exaggerating.

She did a great job in Sea Biscuit as Marcela Howard (Jeff Bridges' wife).
I can picture her as Laura Bush.
