And the current LaRaza shill currently occupying the White House has done a pretty good job in my opinion. The Christian Socialist who can be manipulated by a rapo could surely be manipulated by a mass murderer running another country. What if the mass murderer told him he promised to be nice.

The phrase "I didn't raise taxes, I raised hope" really sticks in my craw.

I will vote McCain. He made some pretty strong promises in his CPAC speech, not just platitudes but actual promises regarding taxes, spending, and earmarks.

You’re ahead of the people who are pushing Ron Paul.

-—This is just an act to make it look like he didn’t collude with McCaine on tag teaming Mitt.-—

You are one smart freeper. He has to stay in a few more weeks, suffer a few defeats before he gracefully bows out.
Everything is about looks in this society. Now we will see who John McCain chooses for VP to tell if he meant everything he said at the CPAC speech. Actions speak louder than words.

The anti-McCain vote is going to vote for McCain.”

Don’t think so....

Actually they may have wanted to defeat Romney. I doubt there is any love lost there. I’m not so sure Huckabee has given up yet. Who knows? Certainly not me.

There is little chance that Huckabee will do well in Ohio or Pennsylvania. As for Texas, I suspect the state GOP will coalesce around McCain, especially if he offers Kay Hutchison the VP slot. That will make victory for Huckabee very difficult. The odds against him are approaching those against Paul, e.g., virtually impossible. Don Meredith has sung, “Turn out the Lights”.

Huck is the only conservative choice left.

I've posted this on numerous threads and never gotten a response, but is there any issue on which Huckabee is more conservative than McCain? And don't point to the nonsense on his website and what he says in the stump speech. I'm looking for a reality-based answer.

Virginia, Louisiana and Kansas could all be good states for him.

Please, by God's mighty hand and outstretched arm.

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

Huck currently has 179 delegates (from RCP). McCain has 720. Romney has 279 (which he keeps because he only suspended his campaign). Paul has 14 (thanks to the 3 he got from Huck in WV in the big trade for votes).

There are about 1070 delegates still available. Huckabee would have to win about 60+% of them to deny McCain the nomination (and there are really no more winner take all states, so from now one the allocation is proportional).

Huck is finished. He can continue on in vain, but it’s over for him.

Exactly what I thought. McCain doesn’t need the Huck anymore. He can throw him by the wayside. And I hope he does.

Love your new tagline ;)

It’s going to take time, but most of the “I’ll stay home” crowd will go for McCain, like it or not, by November. Today’s just too son and too painful for too many to make decisions that needn’t be made for 9 months.

Google this...

Huckabee is recognized as a national leader, having been honored by several renowned publications and organizations for his numerous accomplishments. Governing Magazine named him as one of its ‘Public Officials of the Year’ for 2005, Time Magazine honored him as one of the five best governors in America, and later in the same year, Huckabee received the American Association of Retired Person’s Impact Award. In 2007, he was presented with the Music for Life Award by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) for his commitment to music education.

Huckabee is past chairman of the National Governors’ Association (NGA) and chairman of the Education Commission of the States. During his tenure as governor, he served in other leadership positions including president of the Council of State Governments, state co-chairman of the Delta Regional Authority, and chairman of the Southern Governors Association, the Southern Regional Education Board, the Southern Growth Policies Board, the Southern Technology Council, the Southern International Trade Council and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.

As former chairman of the Interstate Oil & Gas Compact Commission, Huckabee worked with the 37-state coalition to develop energy policy and lobby Congress on energy matters, such as the regulation of oil and gas production. He also is known nationally for his focus on technology in state government. He created an automobile license renewal system that’s become a model for states across the country. Huckabee directed the creation of other advancements that have made Arkansas a technology leader among the states.

Huckabee became governor in July 1996 when his predecessor resigned. He was one of the youngest governors in the country at the time. Huckabee was elected to a full four-year term as governor in 1998, attracting the largest percentage of the vote ever received by a Republican gubernatorial nominee in Arkansas, and was re-elected to another four-year term in November 2002
