Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer has a shocking story to tell. On her Air America radio show on Super Tuesday, Randi Rhodes ran a commercial parody in which Mitt Romney supporters suggest they're going to go on a "killing rampage" if John McCain wins. He has audio, and the transcript:

While I will not vote for McCain or the Huckster under ANY circumstances I hardly want to murder them or anyone else!

That is SICK!

I can wait till 2012 and support Mitt again.

What! I was and guess I still am a Mitt supporter.

I don’t intend to go out and kill anyone.

(Well, if I run across a jihadi I might give it a go, but short of that...)

Reagan was on television during his four waiting years, IIRC. I don't see Romney having that type of platform. His biggest problem was name recognition, but I don't see him trying again. The USA lost a great opportunity.

BTW it's far more than what they feel, it's what they do.

Examples:

The Clintons started the mantra blaming the right for the politics of personal destruction while they held onto all those FBI files and hired clandestine private investigators.

This goes WAY back. Hillary championed the idea of charging Richard Nixon with using the IRS to harass political opponents. Later, Bill O'Reilly complained that he was audited twice during the last Clinton term. Others were attacked the same way once Hillary had installed her own friend as the IRS commissioner.

You know what bud, if we can’t do better than Mitt in 2012, let’s just call up Putin and turn the place over to him.

Honest to God, what the hell do you think we’re waiting until 2012 for, to do this all over again?

You put Romney up then and I’ll sit out again.

Holy hell in a handbasket...

This woman is an idiot. A total buffoon who really makes no sense at all. She rambles on and on about stupidities from 10 or 20 years ago. And all this I heard during a 30 second time frame when I was switching from one station to the next.

It should be very comfortable territory for a Leftie since a great many of them said they’d do the same thing in 2000 if GWB won the election recount process. A bunch of loons.

I'm with you, Doughty--if we can't come up with a better candidate than Romney in four years, we've got bigger problems than we realize.

Let's pray that 4 yrs of Hillary/Obama will bring forth a new Reagan.

Good thing Randi The Load Rhodes only has about five or six listeners who tune into her stupid show. She was probably loaded again since even she has to be falling down drunk to listen to her stupid comments.

Randi Rhodes’ basic problem is that she didn’t get the extended warranty on all those Doc Johnson therapeutic ‘self-help’ devices.

Where most normal people have an intellect, she just has an oversized spleen.

Reality hit me right in the face today as I have been saying that I would never vote for McCain in a million years. Well, part of that was because I had the hope of Romney gaining but today my hopes were smashed on the rocks. So, I’ve been thinking about it all day and decided (I believe with common sense) that even if I hold my nose and vote for McCain, that somehow seems better than voting for either of those Democrats that will let more American buildings get bombed. Not counting the spending and tax raises they will bring us.

CC, I’m sorry you don’t get the concept of a friend supporting a friend. As you well know, I’ve known the man for most of my life. I did what I did because I believe in him. I was supporting him because I know him to be a man of great character, leadership ability and intelligence.

You should try supporting someone or something someday. You might enjoy it.

There comes a point where you just can’t hold you nose and vote for another Democrat pretending to be a conservative. Dole, Bush and now McCain. We’ve reached that point.

Just had a call from the National Republican Committee - told him too, we’ll be sitting this one out. It will be the first time we have NOT voted in ANY election.

We’re sick and tired of RHINO’s. They are dragging this country down. Does it matter if we destroy ourselves with in the speedlimit, Republicans or do it at an excessive speed, the Dmoencrats? It doesn’t matter. The end result is the same.

McCain doesn’t get it. He’s arrogant, tempermental and talks DOWN to people. MOst recently,

McCain Drops ‘Our Country’ From Playlist After Mellencamp Hears Sour Note

PHOENIX — It may be “Our Country,” but it’s John Mellencamp’s song.

When the liberal rocker found out his songs were being played at events for Republican John McCain’s presidential campaign, Mellencamp’s publicist sent a letter that questioned the campaign’s playlist.

“Are you sure you want to use his music to promote Senator McCain’s efforts?” according to the letter sent to McCain’s campaign on Monday. “Logic says that the facts might prove to be an embarrassment, were they to be circulated widely.”

McCain campaign spokesman Brian Rogers in Washington, D.C., said Thursday that the songs would no longer be played. He declined to elaborate.

The letter explained Mellencamp was a liberal who had supported Democrat John Edwards, who recently dropped out of the race.

Publicist Bob Merlis said Mellencamp told him that the situation made him uncomfortable and he couldn’t imagine McCain would want to be associated with him.

“You know, here’s a guy running around saying, ‘I’m a true conservative.”‘ Merlis told The Associated Press. “Well, if you’re such a true conservative, why are you playing songs that have a very populist pro-labor message written by a guy who would find no argument if you characterized him as left of center?”

...

McCain’s idea of “reaching out” to true conservatives is to have YOU surround him and bend over to HIS views. He makes no apology for calling himself a “conservative”, which he isn’t and EXPECTS YOU to unite with him.

Fat chance, Mc Pain in the arse. We do not support you or the Huckster. We’ll wait till 2012, by then thinking people will want a true conservative as President and one who really CARES. For Mc Pian in the arse it’s all about HIM. For the Huckster he wants some kind of a class levelign playing field draped in Scripture taken out fo context - he’s a HUMANIST.
