I'll take a stab at that; here's my reasoning:

Ever since Reagan's 2nd term ended, conservatives have bemoaned the offerings given by the GOP for presidency. Not a single, bona-fide conservative among the bunch, Texas drawls notwithstanding.

Each election cycle, the supporters of these candidates got conservatives to buy in, turn out, and vote for the RINO candidate because "You don't want X in the presidency, do you? Hold your nose, pull the lever for the GOP candidate."

And what has that gotten conservatives? Not a single conservative with a shot of winning the nomination.

There's a word for when someone does the same thing over, but expects different results; that word is insanity. At some point, conservatives have to say, "Enough," and teach the GOP establishment that this is all unacceptable, and that if a candidate wants the conservative bloc to vote for them, then they have to be conservative, plain and simple.

If you try to win an election solely based on "Because you don't want the other guy/gal," then you're going to lose. Give people a REASON to support the candidate, by virtue of that candidate's qualities/positions on the issues, and that will get the base out and voting.

I’m a conservative, not a whiner. Having voted my convictions (which will almost assuredly be third party) I’m prepared to accept the consequences.

I’m already looking toward 2012. This election is going to go bad for the GOP.

She can whine all she pleases. The one advantage of Hillarama is being able to mount an offensive. McCain as prez would be like Bush, and Repubs would have to sign on to whatever liberal nonsense he came up with.

McCain has been a far more effective anti-conservative than the Clintons, chiefly because he has had the Repubs to sell out. Without us, he'll have to close up the store.

*I just need you to say: “I am NOT going to whine about a Clinton/Obama regime!”*
Why don’t you try I am not going to whine if you don’t vote for my liberal McCane.

Why don’t YOU try stop being a political guru?

If you think John McCain is too liberal....please explain to us lesser beings why you’re so happy with a President Hillary Clinton?

And, spare me your pat, emotional laden answers, and stick to specifics.

Thanks.

I’ll take that one!

Because even the libs won’t do allot of this crap!

You get McCain in there and he will pull the Repubs over and get many things done.

The worst thing our government can do is get allot of things done right now.

There are too many freakin idiots up there for that!

And if being Right_In_Virgina comes with a little fall in line black mustache you can have it.

It may be that the best we can hope for is to lock the gov up for 4 years.

We’re in a world of crap because this moron is on the right now.
