Ann Coulter wasn't invited to CPAC this year but she's still giving a speech 50 yards away. The speech is only open to 500 attendees but you can watch it live here -- courtesy of uStream. (VIDEO)
Anne Coulter for Veep!
So McCAin shows up at CPAC so does the RLC, and McCain supporters flood the place and Ann is kicked to the curb.
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING HERE!!!
First the GOP and now CPAC
is no where safe?
Isn’t she on Hillary’s team? Forget her (until she writes a good column that I agree with and enjoy).
Up is down, right is left.
Thank you for posting this. I wish I had seen it from the beginning!
Who is she going to call “a bundle of sticks” today!
...and every cop is a criminal, and all the sinners saints.
and Obama is handsome and articulate
Go campaign for Hillary somewhere else.
Go toss away the Supreme Court and the sacrifices made in Iraq & the GWOT somewhere else.
I’ve been watching the speech, it has been great.
Well, draw your own conclusions.
McManiac is not my man - its pretty obvious some people are willing to forgo principle for a little attention and a pat on the top of the head.
Ann, obviously, is not.
If you can’t agree with any of Ann’s columns, perhaps you are in the wrong forum.
My,my such vitriol.
McManiac is indeed working overtime priming conservative forums with his mouthpieces.
I am a conservative first not a Republican. I disagree with some of Ann’s stuff but here we agree and stand by principle of a base sellout in the name of party unity.
My post was not well phrased. I was being tongue in cheek, meaning to say that Ann Coulter’s nonsense about working for Hillary is offputting, but that I’m sure I’ll forgive her when I read another of her columns. I think she has been wonderful and hope she steps away from jumping off the cliff into irrelevant nut land. I am a little worried though that she is in the cut-off-our-noses to spite our face side of the house now . . . and I don’t want 3 or 4 S.Ct. justices appointed by Obama or Hillary. We will not progress politically in my lifetime if that happens. The S.Ct. will make liberal laws even if we win the Congress.
Lest anyone forgot, WE ARE AT WAR!!!!! NOW IS NOT THE TIME IN HISTORY TO TEACH THE PARTY A LESSON!!
This is not a case of a current CINC, nor a to-be CINC. This is the case of a 'decision process' where everyone, up until the actual nomination of both parties' candidates has some 'deciding' to do. This is PRECISELY the time to teach a party a lesson.....before it IS too late. Wrong, Just Wrong, and it is disingenuous to imply so.
That's nohing new. The RNC has always held the view that the conservative right is to be let out of their cage just long enough to cast votes the way they were given instructions how to by the RNC elites and then kicked in the teeth and told to go away until needed next election. NO more!! I for one will not take any more of their crap
Terrific video, especially the question and answer period.
Thanks for the link!
I cought the last 10-15 min. will it be replayed? Wish this had been posted earlier.
Coulter Speaks to CPAC
Best-selling author and columnist Ann Coulter elaborated to Conservative Political Action Conference participants why she said she would campaign for Democrat Hillary Clinton for president over Republican John McCain.
She wont want to be the first girl President who loses a war and she [Hillary] would actually enjoy torture in Guantanamo, Coulter said in a Friday afternoon speech at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington D.C.
The event was held at the CPAC convention hall, but not sponsored by CPAC— largely because of controversial remarks she made at the convention last year about former North Carolina Senator John Edwards.
Instead, it was organized by Citizens United, Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute, Human Events, Young Americas Foundation and Townhall. It was not held in the main ballroom where President Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney spoke earlier in the conference, but in a room nearby.
More than 500 people attended the event. Many of audience members wore large stickers that said I want Ann Coulter implying they wished she was permitted to speak on the main ballroom floor.
We love you, Ann! several audience members shouted as she approached the podium.
As this speech indicates Ann Coulter is the most popular speaker CPAC had in modern time, said YAF spokesman Jason Mattera.
Coulter tried to bring cheer to conservatives who dread a second Clinton Administration
If Hillary gets elected at least well get the silverware back! she quipped.
In her remarks, Coulter said she was certain McCain would not nominate any judges for the Supreme Court without checking with his good friend Teddy Kennedy.
I dont think my girl Hillary is going to listen to Teddy Kennedy anymore! Coulter said, taking a shot at Kennedys decision to endorse Obama over Clinton.
Coulter compared McCain to former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, who also service in the military. Coulter noted Democrats believed Kerry would win because, Oh, hes a war hero.
Thatll work, Coulter said sarcastically. I predict our strategy will work as well as it did for the Democrats.
Coulter noted Barack Obamas popularity briefly. She said his biggest selling point was he is one of the least dangerous people I know named Hussein.
His first big accomplishment was being born half-black, Coulter said. He wouldnt be running for President if he werent half-black.
She said she would be able to help Clintons campaign because I actually know some black people.
Michelle Malkin, on the other hand....
Only caught the last half hour, but she was pretty good. Placated the Ron Paul people nicely. Slapped Huckabee. Even said she might possibly be convinced to change her mind on McCain, considering her hatred for the Clintons.
Lest anyone forgot, WE ARE AT WAR!!!!! NOW IS NOT THE TIME IN HISTORY TO TEACH THE PARTY A LESSON!!
How long have we been at war? how long will we be at war?
Long before 9/11 and probably for the next 100 years or so. I don’t think I can wait 100 years to try and reform or start a new party. I will not vote for McCain.
I didn’t get it all, but thanks so much for posting it. I did love it, don’t get to see and hear her speaking much. She’s very good at what she does and funny. First good laughs I’ve had for awhile.
Hilary actually said something like “the more the merrier” when asked about Ann’s recent comments. There was no rebuke.
It is in McCain's DAN to take revenge upon the Conservative base. If elected, he would appoint extremely liberal judges. He will close GITMO and run any war from the W.H. ala LBJ.
The only joy I have is that there is a low probability McCain will be elected, especially if Hillary is the Rat nominee.
"How many $$$ will this wild statement bring in?" she laughs.
Bill Mahler is one of her good friends, according to her.
Can someone tell us what she’s saying, instead of telling us what they think about what she hadn’t yet said?
bump to your comment.
opps, DAN=> DNA
Perhaps you should read a few of my posts before accusing me of being a McCain mouthpiece.
Kicked Ann to the curb when she said she was going to campaign for the Hildabeast... s pffft
Yes, there is a safe place. In the developing Conservative Party. Welcome!
” (until she writes a good column that I agree with and enjoy).”
For good reason. Coulter is gonna vote for Hillary. Ann's insane, she belongs at Moveon.org!
I don't know about THAT...she makes her living being controversial and making people think. That said, I don't agree that we Hillary is a better choice than McCain and THAT is only because do you really think the followers of David Koresh voted or thought the powers that be were any concern of their's? Are they any less dead for it? Did they deserve to be incinerated just because they were harmless, brainwashed idiots?
I'm not sure McCain would be much of a better choice, and on that I believe I know where she's coming from there...but voting in a rabid Marxist or a sleeper Islamist is NOT a viable option.
I don't care WHICH conservative you vote for (though Paul would give us to the Islamists with his xenophobic policies) but PLEASE vote.
And Hillary is the smartest woman in the world.
There will be a price to pay for supporting McCain.
We can vote conservative on Senate and House primary seats, and vote for anyone other than McCain on the Presidential seat, including a democrat in the general election.
McCain voted for Ginsburg and Breyer. He believes Alito is too conservative. McCain wants to confer Constitutional rights on the terrorists and close Gitmo.
Your threats will not work here.
Hmmmm, no rebuke, telling.....
That implies that I think they actually want to learn something from us.
Better to commence voting ONLY for conservative principles or 'NONE of the above REPRESENT my Constitutional and moral values'...
Holding noses has gotten us to the blatant coronation of liberals in elephant clothing. We must show some support for principles and quit running off the few conservatives when they do put themselves out there by crying about electibilty...
Ann Coulter is part of the reason we're in this mess. When she was on talk shows, she would say she liked Duncan Hunter and sometimes in the same breath she said she liked Mitt Romney too. (I don't think Romney is a real conservative) Rush did almost the same thing mentioning Fred Thompson along with Romney. Ditto for Laura Ingram.
Notice a pattern here?
The whole thing was a bait-and-switch scheme.
McCain actually did what the Senate used to do and that was advise and consent on justices when there were democrat presidents. The dems on the other hand feel no need to stick to the traditions of the senate when a conservative is nominated.
I’m not sure who you think I’m threatening. Making my case against the Democrats is now threatening here? Making my case for the most conservative possible outcome of this election is threatening? Making my case for what I think is the least damaging thing for our country is threatening? This argument is bordering on McCain Derangement Syndrome.
