” Jesus...what’s the big deal? Everyone knew he was going to endorse him. THEY’RE CLOSE PERSONAL FRIENDS!

I would NEVER endorse MY best friend for President !

Fred is obviously not the man I thought he was

It is a disappointment. I hope we get older and wiser. I keep trying.

Can any of you tell me why you think this speaks badly of Fred, supporting the person who is going to be our nominee? Can you explain the general wailing and gnashing of teeth, and ‘Fred wasn’t the man I thought he was?’ remarks?

Look, I realize McCain is not popular around here, and I fully understand the reasons why. I do not like him as our candidate, but it looks like he will be our candidate, and I will be voting or him in the general. Many of you will not. As I have said so many times, some of us want to keep the dems out of the Whitehouse, no matter what.

So what if Fred’s motives are for a VP slot? Do all of us really think our candidates aren’t politicians and will do such things for a spot on the ticket? I don’t think that’s Fred’s motive, but what if it is? Is anybody surprised?

If Mitt turns out to endorse McCain and get behind the nominee, something I think is likely based on what he said at CPAC about uniting, what then?

Please tell me it's a hoax!

So it turns out that Fred was just another covert foot soldier in the McCain Anti-Conservative Army.

McCain has all but sewn up the nomination. Do you expect Fred to say that since he didn’t win he’s going to sit home and let Hillary or Obama win?

We are faced with the prospect of a nuclear Iran in the future. How can any responsible person do anything that helps the two appeasers become President?

Oh c’mon, not claiming everyone that endorses mccain wants to be VP. Get a grip. I think Mrs. Reagan endorsed him also.

Well Ann Coulter seems to have taken that path. How ‘bout not endorsing anyone?

Everyone cries (rightly so) when Giuliani endorses McCain, with the only choices of him or Huck, but then when Fred does you make excuses. Can’t have it both ways.

its going to be either mccainiac, hitlery, or usambama.

fred backing john is good for the party in that, if so-called republicans are idiotic enough to nominate mccain as the frontrunner, fred knows mccain will need a conservative v.p. to run with, lest conservatives, en masse, sit on their hands in nov.

mccain doesn't seem to be stupid (just off kilter).

he knows he needs the conservative base. he has lost it up til now.

up until now, mccain has only been answerable to the arizona constituency. when/if he gets to Washington D.C. he WILL have to deal with republicans/conservatives on a NATIONWIDE basis.

if he doesn't play ball, everything he proposes will be filibustered.

imho, mccain is a loose cannon. but, he needs ammunition to achieve victory. without the cannonballs and powder from conservatives, he has to realize he is fodder.

p.s. read my tagline. but, who do you want? hillary? obama?

Thanks. LOL. I think it’s a little too subtle for some people or maybe it’s just an old concept.

In the same vein as your tagline, I like: “If at first you don’t succeed, try try again. Then quit. No sense being a damn fool about it.”
It’s a bit long, though. LOL

I have to vote McCain. Having Hillary and Obama dismantle our Country and turn it over to the UN is more than I could take right now.

Yeah, sure would shore up the geriatric crowd.

That being said, if it IS true, then the conservatives have been utterly condemned to the wildreness.

I hope we don't have to wander in the wilderness for 40 years before we find someone to lead us out of it.

NP. How embarrassing for me if it weren’t true! ugh, the horror! But I would take those lumps if it were to make it not true.
