It's too late

It's too late when we have to say not Hillary, not Obama, not McCain.
It's ugly now.
Duncan Hunter was the candidate, the ONLY candidate who deserved balls-to-the-wall activism.
We are now stuck with McCain, so it seems, and I will hold my nose and as one funny and astute FReeper says:
This isnt going to be a hold your nose November. Its going to be a hold your nose, cover your ears, shut your eyes and by all means blot our your memories November. DoughtyOne

I’m still hoping that before November the Earth will be invaded by a race of strict but fun loving singing potatoes from the Horsehead Nebula.
It’s the only thing keeping me sane.

Congressman Duncan Hunter's endorsement of Governor Huckabee
is helping to bring defense and border conservatives on board:
"I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail," said Hunter...
"Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity."

"I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail," said Hunter... "Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity." I lost a lot of respect for Hunter over that one. Why do all politicians think we are too stupid to know when they are lying?

Hunter endcorsing Huckabee is Hunter’s one faux pas...that is nothing in the grand scheme of things.
Was I disappointed and digusted, yes, but looking at the whole package Duncan Hunter is who we need.

Fred endorses MCCAIN? I am retiring from the RNC. They seem to be so corrupt that they can’t see their ASS from a peanut butter sandwich. How many times ..how many times..mccain said that if elected he would sign an amnesty law. HE SAID IT. Did anyone find a suitable island for sale for Freepers? It was a joke, but I want to invest now. As long as I still have a 2nd amendment right.

This isn't going ot be a hold your nose November. It's going to be a hold your nose, cover your ears, close your eyes, blot out your memories, and do your best to control your bowels with a barf bag in hand November.

Fred Thompson was the man to support.Oh, please. Thompson supported amnesty and CFR, and took paychecks from the MSM for five years. He's McCain-lite with Romney's lying skills.

I would have been fine with Duncan Hunter as the Republican candidate. He was close to my positions on most issues. However, I know I am more conservative than at least 90% of the population...and that still leaves me to the left of quite a few people on FR.
Sometimes you have to deal with reality...and the reality is that Duncan Hunter did not represent the views of the majority of the Republican party. It wasn’t even close. Anywhere.
If you want a President as conservative as you, you have to change the mindset of a lot of Americans.
To: KJC1
Duncan Hunter is who we need. Duncan Hunter was right there on the ballot in the primary States. People chose otherwise.

We need one page of these that are fronts and, one page of these for the backs, that we can print and cut, to fill the prepaid envelopes from the RNC and the ACU.
There will be a price to pay for supporting McCain.
We can vote conservative on Senate and House primary seats, and vote for anyone other than McCain on the Presidential seat, including a democrat in the general election.

Fred endorses MCCAIN? McCain is the GOP nominee. Fred has apparently calculated that closing ranks and trying to influence McCain offers the greatest hope for our future. I do not disagree with Fred's approach.

I like you spirit, but your history is vague. I believe the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor but I get your gist. We are not in the Holocaust and not lemmings walking to our graves. We still control our destiny and should be careful not to swallow all the kool-aid offered by MSM. But our options to prevent our worst nightmare are rapidly disappearing. I don’t have the answer. I believe in miracles. Dear God, we could use one now, please!
