The Final Days Of Hillary Clinton: There is no way she can beat Obama
Posted on 02/09/2008 8:49:00 PM PST by jern
These are the final days of the "Hillary! for President" campaign. Every week that goes by Obama is getting stronger as Hillary is getting weaker. After tonight's route, and being swept on Tuesday, the vultures will be circling her campaign.
Looking at the states that are still left, how would it be possible for Hillary to pull off a victory?

What’s the status of the “superdelegates”?
Where are Hillary and Barack mathematically in the delegate count?

“how would it be possible for Hillary to pull off a victory?”
The Clintons always seem to find a way, although it often involves criminal activity.

so if she won those 3 that would be enough? Seems like she would still be way short.

She has Wisconsin and its white population.
She has Texas and her mind control over Hispanics.
Ohio's Dem governor supports her as does the Unions.
Rhode Island will probably follow Massachusetts and vote for her.
This could change if Al Gore and John Edwards endorse HUSSEIN Obama between now and March.

The Real Clear Politics average in Maryland and Virginia has Obama +20% over Hillary Clinton in BOTH states. And that does not count for the momentum he will pick up from today. You are right. Put some butter and jelly on Hillary Clinton because she is toast.

"how would it be possible for Hillary to pull off a victory?"1. Superdelegates
2. those 900 FBI files (and whatever happens to be in them about the superdelegates)
I can't believe she's done for until she's buried at the crossroads with a stake through her heart.

I think Hillary and Company will attack Obama like we have never seen a candidate before. Remember, Hillary fired a White House usher who called Barbara Bush and helped her with her laptop computer.

This is not good news to me.

He pulled in $32 million in January and she pulled in $13 million.
She has been tapping big donors, who don’t often give over and over. He has been tapping many little donors who can still continue to contribute.
She’s in serious trouble, but there are still some big states to go.
It is going to be interesting.

Agreed! I loathe her, but his Hallamrk-style socialism is more insidious. When I see him on TV it is like watching a a creepier version of Jim Jones. That said, I imagine that the Hillary War Room is arming their nukes and they are targeted on Barry.

Ohio doesn’t have a large black population like the South. She will get the white union vote.

It is a tossup as to which is worse. Her fingernails-on-chalkboard voice or his smarmy, saccharine-sociliaism speeches. Both of them make me nauseous.

Same here. I thought Hillary would be the nominee, I just had the feeling that she was the 'chosen' one even if it meant getting there in an illegal way. But maybe I was wrong. Maybe Obama will get it. Anyway, as much as I loathe Obama's politics and fear an Obama presidency, I agree with you about seeing Hillary fail.

To: TornadoAlley3
No matter what the article claims about the purpose of super delegates, if Obama comes into the convention with more delegates than Hillary, and if the Clintons get enough SDs to misrepresent their state and throw their support to her, there will be civil war in the Democratic party.
In terms of answering the prayers of Republicans, the convention will be right up there with the Chicago '68 festivities.

It’s weird because folks are cheering her demise but not taking a hard look at who we’d get *instead*. If McCain is the nominee, the surge of the cult might actually put this guy with virtually no experience, whose pastor honors Louis Farrakhan and traveled to meet Khadday with him, in the White House.
We’re shuffling deck chairs on the Titanic.

McCain has the clearest shot of all the frontrunners. That means he should unite the GOP and figure out what his national campaign is going to be. If he instead sits back and does what Bob Dole did (or rather didn’t do) at this point in the race, he’s definitely the wrong nominee.

The Democrats have a mess on their hands. For all the fanfare/hype, this election year should be going a lot better for them. They've got two flawed candidates currently at a near stalemate - the unlikable female and the flashy but inexperienced black guy.
Their party is split among various lines including racial. They are assured a tough road against an equally suspect Republican candidate who at least does not have Hillary's unlikeability and Obama's polarization and inexperience.
They might actually find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory...
To: jern
The lib media is trying to kill her off.And your believing there non stop spin. The liberal mass media is very
powerful and manipulative with there non stop
attacks on who they hate and non PR for there candidate Osama.
The media has decided that Osama is there candidate and there are trying there hardest to get him elected.
The media is very frightening.
