I just did a keyword search on this having just resolved my own problems with BoA’s screwball procedures. Having paid my bill on 16 February, with a due date of 17 February (a Sunday), BoA wanted to charge me finance charges because the payment was not made on the last business day...Friday the 15th. I wonder how many people were taken on this scam or who meekly assented to BoA’s unstated rules? Fortunately, I caught it and had the charges reversed. The folks at LL Bean have a great operations IMO, but the folks who provide their credit cards suck, in plain english.
We have paid off all our balances, cut up our credit cards (after cancelling the accounts), and are solely using the bank debit card. If more people did this, the credit card companies would really take a hit and maybe learn a lesson.
