Bobby Jindal suggested as McCain’s running mate

New York: A popular radio talk show host has said that Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal would make the best running mate for John McCain, the likely Republican Presidential nominee.

Talking about the names for the Vice-President nominee floating around in Republican circles, Rush Limbaugh said on his show that airs on 600 radio stations nationwide, "I'm going to give you a name that would make me jump for joy — Bobby Jindal. I did an interview with Bobby Jindal. He is the next Ronald Reagan if he does not change."

I thought he was born in Louisiana, this article says he was born in India which would make him illegible.

Don’t care where Jindal is from. He is too young and McLame to old, stupid and a RINO.

He's a great future leader if he has any success in La.

But he just started his term, so don't even think about it.

Won’t get a black vote, and possibly lose the hispanic vote, as neither particularly care for Indians.

NO!

We need him to stay in Louisiana to clean house...take out the trash!

Get a real conservative, culture-changing track record in LA, then move on and up.

I would be completely against Jindal running with McCain.

I think he has one heck of a bright future for us Conservatives and McCain has made it quite clear that he will beholden to no one, so why should one of the young stars risk their future be partnering with McCAin?

Tomorrow Jindal is calling a special session to pass new anti corruption laws in LA....if he can get that done in the Bayou Gator territory of Baton Rouge, he only will cement his standing further.

Bobby Jindal, with a little evangelical preacher coaching, could take on Obama at a "Yes, we can!" throwdown and it would be a close contest.

Jindal is a very articulate speaker and despite his relative lack of experience, I'd like to see him go farther either now or in the future.

The man is not stupid perdogg, he’s a politician, they tend to do stuff like that, now when he gives the 2nd night speech during the RNC convention, we will see what he has to say when it counts.

Let Bobby Jindal lead, clean up and change LA first. If he succeeds there (even marginally) it’ll be a great boost to his future and to the country as a whole.

I mean have we ever heard Cheney’s thought’s on illegal aliens? Not that I have heard.

I would truly prefer it if John McCain picked either Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, J.C. Watts, Mike Pence (Despite Pence’s pro-amnesty legislation, he’s very conservative on all other issues.), Sarah Palin, Duncan Hunter, Herman Cain, or Janice Rogers Brown as his running mate.

I don’t want to see Bobby Jindal leave Louisiana for the next 8 years, we need him here. He was born in Baton Rouge and became Catholic in Highschool. He called a special session for Louisiana, which will begin on 2/11/08 and deal with ethics reform in the state. I am hoping he can get that through and get started on a high note.

Still, he is too young for VP and needs the excecutive expereince as Governor of Louisiana before thinking about national poltics, IMO.

Works for me! I feel it in my bones that we are going to have either Obama or Clinton in the WH for the next 4 years. Not being defeatist, just honest.

By 2012, America will be up to it's neck in "change", and the opposition ought to be kicking in. Throw in the Mayan calendar, and I see a new age.

BTW, my "feelings" tell me that unless there is an Arkancide, McCain will be facing Obama. The momentum has tipped, Hillary can only win by the politics of personal destruction at this point, IMHO. But if HillBillary team up to tar and feather the popular black candidate, they are shooting themselves in the foot as far as the black vote goes. Young people in general will also be furious if the Clintons smear Obama.

Then we will have the most peculiar of election scenarios; both parties nominating candidates generally despised by their respective base. Popcorn, please.

I agree it's a silly idea. Let Bobby serve a couple of terms as Governor and then we'll see. But I do think Bobby has more relevant experience in positions of executive responsibility than does Obama.

Bobby Jindal is a bright, bright star in the conservative constellation and we’re going to hear alot about him in the future. I say let him serve the term he was just elected to in LA and build some real experience and credibility. In 4-8 years he’ll be a REAL contender. And he’ll still be in his early 40’s.

Way too soon for Jindal. He needs to complete his term at Governor, then he’ll have a great shot at being the nominee in 2012, assuming McCain is a one-termer (and assuming he wins in November).

McCain needs a good solid Conservative from the South to offset his RINO leanings and bring on-board the Southern Conservatives, without whose support, the GOP cannot win in the Fall.

How about Mark Sanford?

Healthcare wise, Hillary is more socialist than Obama. But as far as being an agent of "change", Obama is probably farther out there.

I really like hearing Obama speak. I could get all fired up on this stuff. Yes we can! Fired up, ready to go! The only thing is, a lot of his grand speechifying is grandiose babble. It's easy to claim he is going to heal the nation and repair this world, end all divisions and unite all people and religions, yada yada yes we can. Bring free healthcare to the masses, end poverty, lions and lambs lying down together if I'm elected. But it's damn near impossible to accomplish any of those things, and to believe that one new President can completely change the world and end all divisions is pretty naive.

Oh sure, either Obama or Hillary would apologize to Europe and the Muslim countries for our horrible transgressions, and it would appear that the world loves us again. Wave that magic wand over healthcare and make it a single-payer system and poof! Your surgery is free. Honest. No one has to pay for it. And it's really nice to know that all divisions over abortion, gun control, immigration will vanish overnight.

If you believe all that, then I've got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.

Bobby Jindal was born in America, of parents who immigrated from India. He will be eligible to run for President at some point in time, but for heaven’s sake, let the man be Governor first! He’ll get plenty of experience fighting corruption while he’s dealing with politicians and various Levee boards, etc, in Louisiana. We have other, more seasoned folks who can be Veep for now.
