Senior Taliban Figure Killed in Pakistan (Mansoor Dadullah)

QUETTA, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani security forces killed a top figure in the Taliban militia fighting U.S. and NATO forces in Afghanistan and captured four other militants Monday, a military official said.

Mansoor Dadullah, brother of slain Taliban military commander Mullah Dadullah, was among five militants caught after a shootout near a seminary in southwestern Baluchistan province around 10 a.m., a local intelligence official told The Associated Press.

A senior military official said Dadullah died of his wounds while being flown to a hospital with the other four injured men.

Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to journalists. Pakistani army and government spokesmen could not immediately be reached for comment.

Stabilize 'em. After they are stabilized, there are lots of interesting drugs in a hospital. Ones that can make him feel real bad, to make you want to die. In addition, you can mark a pint of human blood with false markings (monkey blood) and feed it into his IV. Make sure he sees it but can do nothing about it. Tell him if he talks and the information checks out, he gets to live long enough to be ritually cleansed by a cleric. And that if he does not talk or gives any bum information, you will give him a paralytic agent, pump him full of swine blood and let the blood type mismatch kill him.

I like it... I recall that early on in GWOT, captured Islamic terrorists were sorted and then “labeled” with slips denoting where they would be taken for their interrogations, usually their home countries with rich traditions in creative torture methods. But for some higher value prisoners, they would be labeled as destined for Israel, which they found terrifying beyond anything else they could imagine. Needless to say, a lot of yellow canaries started singing fast...
