WASHINGTON - Among Billaryland's inner circle, Maggie Williams is renowned as the ultimate Hillary loyalist, fierce and unwavering in her devotion for nearly 25 years.
As the First Lady's chief of staff, her office was in the West Wing, right next to Hillary's.
Her title gave away the extent of her clout: assistant to the President as well as Hillary's gatekeeper and chief enforcer.
Even detractors agree with her admirers that Williams would go to the mat for Hillary.
A Kansas City native, Williams, 53, was a central player in the Clinton damage-control machine during the White House years.
In 1995, a uniformed Secret Service officer swore under oath he saw her leave White House lawyer and Hillary confidant Vince Foster's office carrying documents after Foster committed suicide. Williams denied it.
She ran up more than $100,000 in legal bills defending Hillary in various investigations.
A former aide to Reps. Morris Udall of Arizona and Robert Torricelli (later senator) of New Jersey, Williams' ties to Hillary date to when they both were at the Children's Defense Fund in the 1980s.
After the Clintons left the White House, Williams was named president of Fenton Communications, a leading public relations and consulting firm.
When Bill and Hillary Clinton made remarks before the South Carolina primary that offended African-Americans, the campaign put her on the airwaves to try to quell the uproar.

It's really pathetic that the Clinton's needed someone to serve as a "damage-control machine." That's the same kind of administration that Hillary would give us too. Do we really want a President who needs people to run "damage control" for them? That really gives us a walk down memory lane doesn't it? Like any of us could ever forget the Clinton days. LOL

Since 2001, when she took office, Mrs. Clinton has spent at least $36 million on her re-election. For 2005 and 2006 through Oct. 18, she spent $29.5 million; a final tally will not be available until next month.
At that level, she spent nearly twice as much as Senator Charles E. Schumer, her Democratic colleague from New York, did in his 2004 re-election campaign, when he spent $15.5 million and won 71 percent of the vote, four points more than Mrs. Clinton won this year.
For her money, Mrs. Clinton also won a slightly smaller percentage of the vote in New York this year than did Eliot Spitzer in his successful race for governor. Mr. Spitzer, who raised nearly $41 million for his campaign, won 69 percent of the vote.
Mark Penn, Mrs. Clinton ‘s pollster and longtime adviser, received at least $1.1 million. Mandy Grunwald, her longtime communications strategist, received more than $930,000. Hudson Media Partners, an offshoot of the Glover Park Group consulting firm where two prominent Clinton advisers, Howard Wolfson and Gigi Georges, work, received nearly $200,000.
Campaign aides said much of the consulting work went toward building a donor list that would be vital in a presidential race. But they did not specify the work done by each of the consultants or say exactly how much of the money they received went to preparing for a presidential run rather than Mrs. Clinton ‘s Senate re-election. And the figures have raised eyebrows among the people who raise money for her.

A close friend of Mrs. Clinton , Maggie Williams , received a $37,500 consulting fee, paid to her firm, Griffin Williams Critical Point Management, at the end of July.
Asked what the payment was for, Mrs. Clinton ‘s campaign aides checked and subsequently responded that the payment had been a mistake. They said it should have been for less than $5,000 to reimburse Ms. Williams , who served as chief of staff to Mrs. Clinton in the White House, for travel costs. They said Ms. Williams would return the extra money. Ms. Williams , who was said by Mrs. Clinton ‘s aides to be traveling, did not return a call to her office.

Her involvement in Vince Foster's unfortunate mishap in a remote DC park is also malodorous. She was apparently involved in sanitizing Vince's office of all White Water evidence, and had at least a minor role in the mysterious "suicide" note caper.
Hillary must think she's in real trouble to bring in a fixer like Maggie.
The perky Katie Couric, following a Hillary campaign piece on "60 Minutes" last night, mentioned that Hillary has a new campaign manager, but did not mention Maggie Williams' name as being the replacement.
Was Maggie part of the "suborn perjury" cavalcade of stars, or did she simply practice the "poor memory" defense?

OKAY, thinking like a DemocRAT....What I don't get is that Hitlery needs Hispanic votes to take Texas. The states where blacks can have influence are done except for Virginia, and it seems to late to stop Obama there now. So again, thinking like a RAT, Obama goes into Texas, promises driver licenses to Tio Philipe, which Hitlery is against (before she was for), and he takes Texas.

Let's put this out there: In other words Williams was over-paid. But Williams did not mention it. She kept it. Until it was questioned by others and then investigated and found to be a "mistake." She was well aware of what her fee should have been, I am sure. But when she got $37,500 (or her "firm" received it) she was silent and did not return the extra money on her own! Is that the picture?
What does that say about character and honesty regarding this woman, and all associated with Hillary? So, has the money been returned, and to whom?
It would be VERY INTERESTING to find out who/what organization made such a huge "mistake." Or was it a mistake at all? Was it a way to channel money somehow to Hillary by paying Williams under the guise of a "consulting fee?" When dealing with any of the players in the Clinton camp, nothing is surprising...and everything that that they do is is suspicious. They are the Covert Clinton Clan - there is nothing they do that is forthright and upfront.

(2) Changing campaign directors like this is generally a desperation move. So was whining about the FL and MI primaries.
(3) If she strongarms superdelegates to give her a nomination she did not win by a standard delegate count, it will be taken very, very badly by the Democrat rank and file.
(4) While Obama has a better chance of defeating McCain than Clinton does, in my opinion, if Obama is nominated the Clintons will do everything they can to undermine him, to ensure that she will be the 2012 frontrunner.
There is nothing too low, that this creature would not do regarding the Klintons. Evil is, as Evil does...

Worse than that. She is also the one who very neatly avoided testifying before Al D’Amato’s Senate Committee investigation into the Vince Foster “suicide” by going to France to get married just before the hearings began.

If Obama has more delegates that she does, even 1, but not enough for the nomination, and the convention goes broker, and the kkklintoons pull strings to get the nomination, that arena will be on fire........a suicide nuclear bomb in the Democrat party, self inflicted!.......keep an eye on the “UNCOMMITTED” delegates, they are worth their weight in gold to H!
