Yep, and that is why I would vote Obama against Hillary in the Primaries and then, if anyone cares to get out of bed in November, vote for McCain in the General.

The absolute best outcome I can see (And it is very lousy) is to keep Hillary out which, given McCain means Obama.

Huck is no conservative...he raised taxes to deal with global warming and has stated he believes in man-made global warming...he believes in welfare because he’s so compassionate!
He simply wants to be chosen as Vice-President so McCain can use another pseudo conservative to campaign for McCain as a conservative to give mcMuck a chance to win the South. Then, he will be in a position to run for President in our next election. Get a clue!

Listen up homespun, there are three legs to the conservative platform; social, economic, and national security. Huckabee fails the economic litmus test miserably. He is a big government, tax and spend liberal in this area. He has about a 50-50 rating on the social issues. He is solidly pro-life and anti-homosexual marriage, but is an open borders, pardoning fool. Since he has never had any dealings involving foreign policy, other that advocating open borders, no one knows where he stands.

Don't try so hard to be cute. "Status quo conservative" is a completely meaningless oxymoron you or some other moron pulled out of your a$$.

I will vote Republican in the General election no matter who the nominee is because I do not want to see the DEMS in the White House if at all possible.

Having said that, I will vote for McCain if I have to or even Huckabee if I have to. I do believe that Huckabee would have a better chance of beating Hillary or Obama than McCain would.....no matter who their VP is. I also believe that Huckabee is “more” conservative than McCain.

I have already voted, but would like to see a brokered convention in the event that someone other than McCain or Huckabee might be the nominee.

Mike Huckabee is a fiscal conservative. He’s just not a self-centered, money-above-all conservative. There are more important things that some of the more selfish money-first types fail to admit.

If folks vote for Romney, does he gain delegates in the states where the delegates are divided by % of votes?

Wouldn’t a vote for Romney in the winner take all states still help McCain?

Glad I already got to vote for Romney, and sorry he left the race.

Let me give you a history lesson.

State budgets have exploded all across the nation, in the last ten years. It was a part of federal “welfare reform” and unfunded mandates.

In Arkansas, Mike Huckabee had to balance budgets, in the mean time.

Big government my foot. Just government.

Received Gifts - Huckabee accepted thousands of dollars worth of gifts while in office. Rather than denying, explaining or being helpful in any way, Huckabee dismisses this by reminding us that he was never found guilty of receiving an illegal gift. If you really want to send the Governor over the edge, ask him about registering for gifts at Target and Dillard’s. Once again he doesn’t deny it, he defends it.

Naw, huckabee doesn’t like money and gifts.

exactly! it makes me wonder if that's just the way it is in Arkansas... he claimed to have a degree in theology again and again... oh, but wait... it wasn't really a degree in theology... it was a BA in religion... he only went to seminary for one year... he knew the difference... there is always some truth shading with him... registering for wedding gifts after 30 years of marriage just so he could receive gifts when he left office... tacky... oh, and his response to the "grants" for children of illegal immigrants... they weren't grants per se... they were scholarships... who cares... he is ethically challenged...

Answers on your biased slurs against Hucakbee.

1. Oly for a few high achievers.
2. Huckabee has committed himself to Jeff Sessions plan.
3. Huckabee lowered taxes until he had to raise them, to balance the budget - get it?
4. Huckabee has pledged not to raise federal taxes, conservative that he is.

Stop believing the my-money-first false conservatives.

I don’t know how they do it in winner take all states, but Romney is still on the ballots. He only suspended his campaigning, he didn’t withdraw. I’d vote for Romney anyway, because I would never vote for either Huckabee or McCain, especially after the sleazy trick they pulled in West Virginia.

My main objection right now, has to do with global warming, though. It is such a huge issue for me personally and we are in an all out battle with the left over it and global warming. I might move if we lose it, and I just can’t support McCain or Huckabee.

“Answers on your biased slurs against Hucakbee.”

Your answers are excuses.

“1. Only for a few high achievers.”

The scholies were targeted for illegal immigrants only. Which means there was not academic requirement - not even race, but race and illegal.

“3. Huckabee lowered taxes until he had to raise them, to balance the budget - get it?”

LOL, yeah kind of like John Kerry’s, “I was for the surge until I was against it...I was for the tax cut until I was for tax raises.

“4. Huckabee has pledged not to raise federal taxes, conservative that he is.”

lmao, another miracle maybe? conservative my azz.

for wedding gifts after 30 years of marriage just so he could receive gifts when he left office...

Yet another lie. The second wedding was done to celebrate pro-marriage legislation passed (eliminating the Arkansas marriage penalty in taxation, if I remember correctly). The investigation showed that his underlings registered them in gift registeries without Gov. Huckabee even knowing.

Let's get up out of the pro-Romney, pro-Thompson, pro-Paul 527 slander campaigns and get to the moral high ground.
