McCain Drops F Bomb on Colleague

At a closed door meeting over immigration legislation, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) got into a shouting match with Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas), telling him at one point, "F*** you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room,"

McCain, Cornyn Engage in Heated Exchange Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) hasn't spent much time in the Capitol this year as he seeks the GOP presidential nomination. But one of his rare appearances this week provided a pretty salty exchange with a fellow Republican.

During a meeting Thursday on immigration legislation, McCain and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) got into a shouting match when Cornyn started voicing concerns about the number of judicial appeals that illegal immigrants could receive, according to multiple sources -- both Democrats and Republicans -- who heard firsthand accounts of the exchange from lawmakers who were in the room.

At a bipartisan gathering in an ornate meeting room just off the Senate floor, McCain complained that Cornyn was raising petty objections to a compromise plan being worked out between Senate Republicans and Democrats and the White House. He used a curse word associated with chickens and accused Cornyn of raising the issue just to torpedo a deal.

Things got really heated when Cornyn accused McCain of being too busy campaigning for president to take part in the negotiations, which have gone on for months behind closed doors. "Wait a second here," Cornyn said to McCain. "I've been sitting in here for all of these negotiations and you just parachute in here on the last day. You're out of line."

McQueeg at his finest. Did he get this animated over Kerry calling the Swiftboat vets a "bunch of liars", or the democrats doing their damndest to kill the Bush Tax cuts......oh wait, nevermind....

I don’t care if George Washington comes back from the dead and endorses McQueeg.

“John Cornyn has endorsed McCain.”

Just shows me how they’re all towing the line. Disgusts me just a tad more.

Too bad.

Still waiting for McCain’s maverick.

Sessions was asked today, he refused, and said we will see.

Rush was saying just today that he thought that Huckabee was still in the race because Huck thought there was a good chance McCain would say something to derail his campaign.

This probably won’t do it, since the media dosn’t want McCain to lose. Yet.

Plus it was back in may. Still, I’d run a devastating Ad with several McCain meltdowns and bury this turd.

And yet there are some people here who will call you a communist if you aren’t willing to vote for this crazed old man.

Bak when that occured I called McCain’s office, and ripped into the aid over it. I told her that McCain was elected to represent the people of Arizona, not embarass them.

When you elect a man you are blessing his record.

Shouldn't you know his record?

what’s with the childish superstition against typing the f***? We all know what you mean, it is instantly transformed into the real thing in the mind of the reader. (Yes I know it’s FR rules). But it’s like some little child afraid to utter Voldemort’s name.

Jeff Sessions is a real American patriot and a gentleman. McCnutts could learn a lot from him.

I don't think we are as impressed with your opinions as you are newbie. How did we get along without you telling us we are wrong all the time?

I’m hoping he’ll literally meltdown before the convention but after he gets the 1191 delegates — as in croaking from a heart attack or stroke. The convention would be free to choose anybody at that point.
