I’ve got a connection and can get them shower heads from the former Yugoslavia-those Serbs are fanatics about their showers. (Seinfeld reference for the uninformed).
That little plastic part is the first thing in the trash when I get a new shower head. It would take less than 5 minutes each with an adjustable wrench. Easier than a protest.
We had to replace a toilet and so had to buy one of the low flow ones. No problem at all. In three years we’ve never had to flush a second time. I’m happy to save money on the water.
Had something similar at the Shangri-La in Hong Kong. I had a confirmed reservation, but they were out of rooms except for this premiere suite so I got it at the standard room rate. The shower felt like a car wash, it was awesome. HUGE shower, enough room for easily 5-6 people.
Our bathroom remodelling occurred before we bought the house. Also wife-directed. Tacky. The real estate agent called it "the orgy bathroom". It didn't break the deal, but we sure did laugh about it a lot. You could stand up four couples for a country dance in the place.
Don't know if the remodelling led to the divorce that put the house on the market, or not . . . .
I recommend the Commando 450 shower head.

I think you're missing the point, socialists don't believe in doing things yourself. Unless it's done by the government at 10 times the cost, it's just not good.
This is the perfect example of the socialist madness. No matter how big your government is, it will always be made up of a lot of little people, and "reforms" will always affect the little people in the end. Socialists always manage to delude themselves with their rethoric though, all "reforms" are always targeted agains "others", big corporations, rich people, wasteful people, ignorant people. Any label they can come up with the fool themselves into thinking it won't affect them. Well, guess what, this time it came back to bite you.
The new ones work fine. The original ones were a regular pain.
The low flow commodes can be adjusted to do a “double flush”. Works even better than the old water hogs.
BTW, get round front commodes, they work better.

The envirals should be forced to use solar power to heat their showers. They would quickly change their tune.
Meh. The profs may be liberals, but many, many of the students are very level-headed kids from hard working families who’ve arrived on scholarship due to individual effort. Stanford is NOTHING like Berzerkly. It’s educational level leaves many poseurs to wallow around until they drift down to Berkley
It's easier than that. The heads usually have a plastic flow restrictor that is removable. Pull the head, punch out the restrictor, and put it back on.
It's that simple. If I were the Stanford student body, I wouldn't be so overt about advertising the incompetence of the mechanical engineering department.

Yeah, they’re smart. They’re just getting the school, not themselves, to pay for the non-low-flow showerheads. On a similar note, my school has low-flow-high-pressure showerheads installed in our gyms and some dorms, and they’re far nicer than the standard ‘wasteful’ ones.
Now if it were three flushes...!
