The person said “I quoted the CDC and NIH” (look it up for yourself, she implies),

meaning, “I quoted a source that looked at the CDC and NIH and interpreted the stats according to their own agenda.”

Nope, not acceptable. I want a direct link to the CDC/NIH where this person found the statistic that 27% of HIV infected people are women. And it won’t be forthcoming, I know.
