Rush is always right, and don't you ever forget it.

CARVILLE: I don't know, 51% in Virginia is a pathetic number.
And I mean I don't say that as a Democrat. Virginia is typically a very orderly state.
I think the brief (breech) between McCain and the conservatives is real, and it's not just Washington or the radio talk show people. Those conservatives out in the hinterland don't much care for McCain and I suspect he doesn't much care for them either.

RUSH: Carville is on to something. He may be irritating now and then, but he's not stupid.
He knows it's not just conservative talk radio McCain has a problem with. There are people -- he refers to them as the hinterland. I refer to it as the place where the people that make the country work live. But he's at least right about that.

Carville is tracking...Big Time.

If we accept an inept commander in chief in a time of war so we can pick up seats earlier, we have chosen party over country. I will not do so.

I hate to sound like McCain, but I think everybody needs to calm down.

I don't think there's any chance that in October (or September, or May) the Limbaugh and Ingraham shows will still be three hours of "John McCain sucks." I think they're doing this because at this point, with McCain the certain nominee and Huckabee a completley unacceptaable alternative, causing McCain a little trouble so he remembers he has to build a coalition is the only thing they can do to support conservatism. Still, I think they ought to quit, and I think those of us who are willing to support McCain should calm down about it, because these folks (Rush in particular) have been the voice of Reagan conservatism for the last four years. They should cut McCain slack, for the good of the country.

Again, I'm certain they'll come around...see tagline.

sheesh this old bit again.... Nah we’ll sit this one out, take the heat and the blame and sleep better at night knowing that we didn’t cave for a party that has a track record of using the conservative votes, money and influence to take care of a moderate agenda while relying on the tendency to forgive to ignore the conservative one.

Post 13 is pretty ironic, given the guy or gal who will take office if enough people follow your lead.

No, but it would stand a good chance of regenerating A Republican backwash like 1994, all over again.

Johnson didn't gain the House or Senate for the GOP.

Carter didn't gain the House or Senate for the GOP.

One out of three in the last 45 years is not good enough odds for me. Especially not when it would mean we have an inept Commander-in-Chief for four years.

Rush is bright enough to reject a pro-life liberal when he sees one. Peddle your weasel over on DU.

Apparently, you think that there is “no difference” between Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Samuel Alito or John Roberts either.

By the way, McCain voted “yes” on Alito and Roberts, and Hillary and Obama voted “no” to both of them.

Never let facts get in the way of a good argument, though.

Hey, maybe when everybody stays home and has a pity party and Obama gets elected, he’ll step into a phone booth and emerge as Minimally Qualified to be Commander-in-Chief Man, and actually act like he has a clue about foreign policy.

I am sure Rush is bright enough to correctly source the phrase “Fighting for a classless society” to Karl Marx, and wouldn’t try to claim it was Lincoln or Jefferson; unlike a certain poster named ‘unspun’.

Besmirching and attacking better men than yourself does little to further the candidacy of Mike Huckabee.

I think 2 Supremes at least, and both in the first term, which should give pause to people who say “we need to elect a Carter so we can have a Reagan.”

My reasoning? Ginsburg’s cancer is in remission, but she’ll be just about 76 when the next President comes into office. Stevens, meanwhile, will be just about 89 when Inauguration Day rolls around. Even if he has no plans to retire, living to be 93 isn’t something that most people do.

A candidate who can’t win the nomination without Rush Limbaugh hoolding his hhand is not someone who can win the general. Duncaan Hunter was man enough to admit that he was the guy responsible for his campaign’s success or failure, so why aren’t his supporters willing to admit it?
