McCartney and Mills' divorce battle to continue

Sir Paul McCartneys estranged wife Heather has criticised him for turning down a request from an autograph hunter as their divorce battle moved towards a bitter conclusion at the High Court.

Heather Mills smiles as she leaves court
The Beatles fan approached Sir Paul with an original version of the 1968 White Album as he prepared to enter Court 34 where the proceedings are being held in private.
But, apparently Sir Paul turned him down, explaining he was sorry but he was not allowed to sign it.
The disappointed fan, a driver called Joe from Leytonstone, east London, tried again but was ushered away by security.
When Lady McCartney arrived she happily signed his autograph book, writing "To Joe. Lots of love, Heather Mills."
Joe, who would not give his last name, said: "I told her Paul had refused to sign and she said 'Thats a pity, you are the sort of person who has made him what he is today'.
"Heather was really nice about it."
The divorce battle had been due to finish on Friday but has run over into next week.
A court spokesman said: "It will go on until Monday."
Lady McCartneys decision to represent herself is thought to have contributed to the length of the case.
Experts say she could eventually receive anywhere between £10 million and £80 million from Sir Paul who is thought to be worth up to £825 million.
They are already understood to have agreed joint custody of their four-year-old daughter Beatrice.
Lady McCartney arrived at court in a striking black velvet pinstriped suit, bright red shirt and platform heels and left smiling at the end of the day.
A judgment from Mr Justice Bennett is expected to be delivered a few weeks after the hearing finishes.
It will be binding on both parties but can could be challenged at the Court of Appeal which would lead to details of the case becoming public.
Sir Paul is believed to want his estranged wife, a former model who lost part of her leg in a road accident in 1993, to sign a confidentiality clause which would stop her talking publicly about their four year marriage.
Guilty.
the one who could describe mills best is jane fonda!!!!
IMHO, she doesn’t have a leg to stand on.
“an original version of the 1968 White Album”
I don’t blame McCartney for not signing, it probably would’ve been up for sale on ebay the next day...
Hey, Sir Paul,
I’d like to sing you another silly love song.
I’d like to know: what’s wrong with that?
Anyone see the guy on Neil Cavuto’s show today, commenting on this? Said Mills didn’t deserve a dime, and that “she has brought zero value to Paul McCartney, but McCartney has brought tremendous value to her. She could go down to the red light district and charge a whole lot more now that she was McCartney’s wife”!!!!!
Needless the say, the woman commentator on with this guy went completely nuts and Cavuto had to calm it all down.
Lady McCartneys decision to represent herself is thought to have contributed to the length of the case.
When you represent yourself, you have a fool for a client.
Never marry a person who is only 1/2 your age.

Nice, leggy blonde, I'd say!
Plus with that money you think he could find a woman who had all her parts, upstairs and downstairs.
I agree. Too old!
McCartney’s taste in women ( Eastman before ) leaves a lot to be desired IMO .
You’re close. I think the judge should throw the case out of Court telling her that she doesn’t have...
She’s a gold digger.
Not only that, she was indeed a brilliant actress, having real talent as opposed to the previous two. I never really disliked Linda Eastman so much, but never thought she had real talent, but they had a very very happy marriage.
The current witch deserves nothing.
Evidently he adored Linda. Too bad he got hooked to this nutcase.
Paul and Jane were never married.
Heather Mills in no Lady, but Paul McCartney certainly is a fool.
If she was living in CA, she would get 50%!
“Let’s admit Paul is a moron.”
Nah, I’m going to accept that Paul is probably a pretty good guy. There is little in his background and history to suggest otherwise. And I’m going to continue believing that Mills is just another money-grubbing slut, of which there are so many that it is getting difficult to keep up with. And unfortunately, good guys like Paul continue to take a hit as their virtue is used against them, much like the United States continues to take hits as others take advantage of our virtue. Time to hit back.
He's the sort of person who has made Heather what she is today!
Two extremely wealthy fools....yet another example of what current society has presented us with.
I agree. He was with Linda a long time. Unfortunately for men, they often remarry too quickly after a loss, whether it be divorce or death. If the man has been in a happy marriage, it is difficult for him to think of living alone. If I recall correctly, Paul's mother died when he was young. There may be all kinds of psychological things going on re his need to have female company.
Sadly, if this had been Joe Blow making a mistake by marrying in haste, we wouldn't know anything about it. It's only because he's Paul McCartney that we get treated to this drek. If Mills were a real lady, she'd take her pre-nup and just walk away, but no...
I was a young widow. I think I understand where his head is at. I'm not going to knock him for wanting to be married - and considering the circumstances, marrying someone closer to his age may not have mattered.
I have nothing against Paul. He’s rich and famous beyond belief, and always pleasant.
Plus, he didn’t need to explain himself to an autograph seeker, but he did - and on his way in to divorce court!
I thought it totally rude of the autograph seeker.
Politefully dissenting. :)
Sorry. I never liked Paul. My weakness was John Lennon.
I tend to despise those "rich and famous beyond belief" that get high-minded, as he does, and lecture us lowly masses.
There is no place in my life for such "artists"...none.
(...politely dissenting .. :) .)
If he had married someone age appropriate there would be no second family and no child caught in the middle of this vicious divorce.
His daughter warned him. He should have listened.
Yup. That said, I probably should have listened to my parents when I married my husband. We all do dumb things.
I’m not aware of his lecturing. If he does, it’s not as well known as some of the more political artists. Maybe I’m out of the loop. :) Anyway, I like his old songs and they hold alot of memory for me.
Paul does little to no “lecturing” of anybody. That was just a lousy post.
Well thanks! I couldn’t think of any.
>>But, apparently Sir Paul turned him down, explaining he was sorry but he was not allowed to sign it.<<
I wonder what he meant by that - maybe the court has asked him not to do anything to increase the crowds.
Very guilty.
Anyone want to bet she has the next one picked out....younger, handsomer...and poorer.

I read she thought she was so hated that she would leave the country after the settlement.
Sir Paul is well-liked in his country. He's kept his nose pretty clean over the decades, his countrymen like his music, and he certainly, along with the other Beatles, pumped millions of pounds into the British economy during the group's glory days. He has brought no dishonor to the title bestowed on him by the Queen. He is quite an ambassador of good will for England.
I hope he eventually finds the right person who will marry him for love and companionship in his manor on the tight little island.

Agree with everything.Paul maybe is a good guy.But good and smart not always going together.Yes, she is a gold digger, but rich and famous man as Paul should know better. He is not a 20 years old.
