Just stating the facts. I think I heard somewhere Ann Coulter’s even gonna campaign for the DEMs this year. And I have been told by plenty of conservatives here that they are intentionally throwing their votes away so McCain won’t win. Do the math. McCain loses, Obama wins. Facts are facts. OBAMA is the conservative choice in 08.

I think he meant “magic Canadian”.
No death sentence. Just wallow in the sewer you help to bring about. There is a clear choice between two candidates. You were never going to vote DEM, so you either vote GOP, or you help the DEMs. You can try to deny it, but it's true. So, this year, you and others have decided the DEM is preferable, even though you don't have the guts to follow your convictions and VOTE for the DEM. So you'll sit out (chicken out), and allow life to happen to you, rather than make a tough decision. It's ok. I understand. Some people don't have the fortitude to make tough decisions.

After all, if he wanted to win, then why alienate the conservatives--he is the one who did it. If he can win without us, then that's his choice....but I'm not going to say that it's perfectly fine for Republicans to be liberal and still expect my vote. All that does is encourage liberalism....which is evidently Huck's choice for 08, 12, 16, etc...
BTW, Sen. McCain hasn't even made it to being the nominee..and besides, I still haven't voted in the primary contests. I still can vote for a conservative, Dr. Ron Paul.

He is what he is. In the Senate, McCain leveraged the middle against the two sides. That is, he built a coalition of "centrists"(the Gang of 14 as they came to be known), so that the center, which typically has to ride along with one side or the other, could have some power of its own. Unfortunately for those of us on the right, he was rather effective at times.
In the process, he alientated a lot of conservatives. To his credit, he hasn't tried to hide the fact. He's been pretty honest about his ideas.
If he can win without us, then that's his choice....but I'm not going to say that it's perfectly fine for Republicans to be liberal and still expect my vote.
That's your choice. Just understand that the consequence is that someone EVEN MORE LIBERAL gains an advantage by your abstention. Deny it all you want, it's a fact.

I don't agree with this at all. It ought to encourage conservatives to do a better job next time around of finding a candidate. This time out, there was not a single conservative candidate who had motivation, skill, and money. Not a single one. We can't blame McCain for that. If the movement is so great, how come there was no leader?
