First Umad Mughniyeh takes the 72-virgin ride with a Bashar Assad Special. Now Ayman Atallah Fayed gets blasted in the most literal sense of the word. Both men were high-ranking members of terrorist groups arrayed against Israel. Coincidence?
A powerful blast went off in the house of a senior Islamic Jihad activist Friday, killing him, his wife and daughter, along with three neighbors, medics and an Islamic Jihad spokesman said. Islamic Jihad claimed Israeli warplanes struck the home of Ayman Atallah Fayed. Israel denied it had launched any airstrike in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza where Fayed lived. Hamas police said the cause of the blast was not clear.
Witnesses reported seeing fragments of what looked like locally produced rockets at the scene, suggesting the house may have been used to store arms

Of course, the explosion could have something to do with the fact that Fayed had his family living on a pile of bombs. Perhaps someone was tinkering with one in the house and connected the right wire at the wrong time. That also could have created the huge scope of the blast. With a lot of ordnance inside, a single explosion could have been amplified greatly through the secondary explosions of the other rockets.
It does seem more than a little coincidental, though. Leading members of two of Israel's biggest enemies getting their martyrdom visas stamped within days of each other would be awfully lucky for the Israelis. Unless, of course, the Israelis were the ones stamping those visas in the first place.

Perhaps that satellite the Indians just lauched for Israel contained more than just some cameras.
These two killings, plus the predator snuffing of Al-Libi in January, and the strike on the Syrian site last September - things are happening! It’s as if Bush and Israel said “Okay, enough is enough, let’s go get ‘em.” I hope this continues, Big Time!

That was a weird-looking blast scene, his jeep, looked like something out of Terminator.
Mugniyah and Fayed were both bomb makers. Perhaps the common link is as simple as Hammas/Hezbollah making an unstable batch of High-Ex...or poor quality detonators, etc.
If so, then consider that the above are their A-Team. Now their B-Team gets to handle such inferior materials.
Would the result be any fewer casualties?!

Cutting the cables was almost assuredly to identify the physical addresses of senders and/or originators of certain enemy signals (by narrowing down available transmission pathways and applying large amounts of computing power and ELINT).
So it's not out of the question to think that the identified enemy sender/receivers will start winding up dead.

Someone lower in the organization is probably edging for a promotion and is hedging his bet by offing his superiors. He’s probably also counting on being able to blame Israel or the U.S. for the “assassinating” those same superiors.

Good news sometimes happens because bad news is coming. Israel may be taking whatever steps they can now because they believe a democrat will be our next president.
I get the feeling Israel is giving the US the brush-off because they feel that the future political leaders coming around the bend are going to clamp down on the Mossad and its hit squad, most likely also delay any new weapons or armament so my guess Israel is right now poised with its hand on the trigger. If they can cull the Hamass right now I am glad they are, they have much better balls than our leadership in the US.

One report I read on the death of Mugniyah was that he was walking on a sidewalk when a bomb inside a parked car exploded. If that is true, it would make it a little harder for the explosion to have been caused by mishandling one of his own bombs.
If I wasn’t so negative, I’d take this as evidence someone is going to bomb Iran soon.

Unfortunately, since they are using the widowed women and the orphaned kids as suicide bombers ("Be a martyr and get back at the Americans who killed your husband/father" I would guess they are told), it sadly probably was for the best that the whole house / building / area go taken out...
