>>Stein will receive the award through Biola Universitys masters in science and religion program in a ceremony on March 27, one month before Expelled hits theaters.<<
There’s a surprise.
You’d think they could at least find a “doctorate” program.

Oh joy, an award for advocating fairy tales in the classroom instead of science. One can believe any fool thing one wants—the Earth is flat, is only 6,000 years old, whatever—but please have the decency not to pass it off as science.

That of course is the point in dispute. You call it a fairy tale, the ID proponents call Darwinism just-so stories.

Does anyone know if Phillip Johnson is still alive? I never heard that he died, but from the article I get the impression that he is no longer with us.

Oh joy, an award for advocating fairy tales in the classroom instead of science. Are you referring to Mr. Stein's award? He is receiving the award for a MOVIE, not for advocating ANYTHING in a classroom! *snirk* And apparently, you just proved the point of the movie.
So I take it that you have no problem with a THEORY being "indecently" passed off as FACT in a classroom as long as it's the theory YOU believe. It's a rhetorical statement; don't bother responding.

......If you just stand up and question Darwinism thats it your career is over.......
No wonder, it is like saying:
... If you just stand up and Question the Earth is round and claim the moon landing never happened - that's it - your career is over.....
Sad; one gets no Respect.

The man is still very much alive. Now 68 years old and a retired Professor of UC Berkeley. Johnson has suffered a series of minor right brain strokes not too long ago. His rehabilitations have limited his public activities and participation in the debate over Intelligent Design. But he's still writing and occasionally speaks in public given the chance.

Not a very apt analogy. The shape of the Earth is OBSERVABLE. Random Mutation plus Natural Selection producing man from inanimate matter has NEVER BEEN OBSERVED, and that's the reason why a growing number of scientists have come to doubt Darwinism.
