This is really not good.
They found his car at a condo, fairly near where he lives. It is like he picked up a “person in need” and got waylaid.
Thank you for that link.
No news this morning.
Prayer bump for this man and his family. Have there been any updates?
Lord, please keep this man safe and bring him back to his family. Comfort this family and hold them close while they wait for news of their loved one.
Search for missing Seattle man reaches YouTube (updated)Update, 7 p.m.: Nannette Ray, a producer who worked with Francisco and posted this video on YouTube, e-mailed us a note about it and the efforts to find her colleague, including a boost in the reward being offered for information leading to his whereabouts. Scroll to the bottom of this post for more.
Nicholas Francisco's red 1992 Toyota Paseo hatchback was found parked at a condo in Federal Way Monday. But one week after he went missing, the father of two has not come home -- and the search continues.
Friends of the 28-year-old have posted paper fliers all over the city. But they've also stormed the Internet, taking advantage of the reach of the medium and the tech savviness of the city to get the word out -- digitally.
This clip has been viewed more than 800 times since it was posted yesterday by a new user called "findnicholas" and linked on West Seattle Blog.
Digital "fliers" announcing Francisco's disappearance have also turned up on several blogs, on photo sharing site Flickr and online bookmarking site Digg. One Web site, mailpen.net, announced it is temporarily dedicated to the search, and includes an updated list of all news reports and developments in the case.
"Hoping the power on the Internet can help find Nicholas and bring him home," wrote one commenter on the video's YouTube page.
Francisco has some good friends fighting a good fight to get the word out. Here's hoping he's all right.Update: We messaged the YouTube user who posted the video and asked if he or she could update us about the effort. Here is the reply we received from Nannette Ray.
I work at Publicis, an advertising agency in lower Queen Anne, where Nicholas also works. Every person here is extremely concerned about Nicholas. We have organized search parties and are doing what we can to offer support to Nicholas' wife and kids. We made the video based on some of Nicholas' photos in an effort to spread the message about his disappearance. So far the video is posted on YouTube and we have submitted it to all the local news stations pleading that they air the video. The reward has been raised to $15,000 for information leading up to Nicholas' whereabouts.

You mentioned pinging the WA list. Also add the surrounding states as well. Can’t hurt.

Police to review missing SeaTac man's phone records
Seattle Times staff reporter
King County detectives plan to review cellphone records for a SeaTac man who has been missing since Feb. 13 in hopes of discovering information about his whereabouts.
Nicholas Francisco, 28, disappeared after calling home from his office and telling his wife he would be home after he ran a quick errand, according to a family friend. He never arrived.
His car was found Monday in the parking lot of a Federal Way condominium complex, but police said a search of the vehicle did not provide any information about what may have happened to Francisco.
Aside from the man's disappearance, police said, there was no evidence of a crime.
Police tried to use Francisco's cellphone to track him but discovered it had either been turned off or was dead.
Investigators then sought a search warrant to compel his cellphone carrier to release the man's phone records, but a judge refused to sign the warrant because there was no evidence of a crime, said sheriff's spokesman Sgt. John Urquhart. "Being missing is not a crime," Urquhart said.
Urquhart said privacy issues generally prevent cellphone carriers from releasing phone records without a search warrant.
Private negotiations with Francisco's cellphone company resulted in T-Mobile's "generous" offer to release the records voluntarily, according to his wife, Christine Francisco.
She said she turned the records over to detectives Friday...
Monday, Feb. 18, his car was found in the parking lot of a condominium building in Federal Way, Wash., about a half hour from his own house in Sea-Tac. It was the first major break in the case but only compounded confusion for investigators.
“If you’re going to your home in Sea-Tac, you would not go to Federal Way,” Urquhart said, adding that discovery of the car suggests Francisco may have taken off on his own. “He’s got some financial problems, according to the wife,” he said. “He’s got a hell of a big family. ... He could have left on his own.”
The car provided few clues about exactly what happened in the four days between his disappearance and the recovery of the vehicle. “The car is unlocked, the ignition is intact,” Urquhart said. “No bullet holes, no body, no blood. Nothing.”

At least two people reported seeing the missing man, according to KATU. Witnesses said they saw Francisco at a gas station and at a public storage business.

This is very strange. I hope they find him soon!
In some of the more recent articles they seem to think he may be a runaway husband- but why wouldn’t he have driven his car? Makes no sense to me, but I think many adults run into real trouble and LEOs are quick to think they just left of their own- even when things don’t add up- like the car found in the area.
What was the quick errand I wonder?
Continued prayers for this man and for his wife and family.
Continued prayers for Nick and family.
