Kosovo: Now a Muslim Country in Europe
North Star Writers Group ^ | February 18, 2008 | Llewellyn King

Posted on 02/18/2008 5:52:32 AM PST by Invisigoth

A new country limped onto the world's stage on Feb. 17. It is Kosovo. And, true to its Balkan heritage, Kosovo is a problem for most of Europe and Russia. It is also a problem for the United States, which is expected to recognize Kosovo, though mutedly.

Kosovo's declaration of independence from Serbia has infuriated Russia, which immediately called for an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council. Some European countries, including Cyprus, Romania and Slovakia, have told the European Union that they will not recognize Kosovo – in essence a successful separatist movement in Europe.

Wow. Recognizing another small tumor which - in the future - will need to be excised. Sorry, but I have no regard any longer for Muslims. Period. Better to let the Croats finish things now. Harsh perhaps...but true.

“Just something else, besides 9-11, that we can “thank” bill clinton and madeline half-bright for.”

But not George Bush who has been the nursemaid of this Caliban entity, this Mohammedan terror statelet for nearly 8 years now, the Commander in Chief whose orders direct our fine forces to stand aside as the howling Mohammedan Albanian savages of the KLA ravage Serbian communities, dynamiting Christian Churches? And not the evil McCain who is directly responsible for arming the Mohammedan killers of Kosovo?

Clinton deserves all the calumny we can heap on him; that wicked old hen Albright and those idiots Clark and Holbrooke as much if not more. But ignoring eight years of godfather-like roles of Bush and McCain in all this is delusional. When the Republicans get smoked in November, at least in part it will be because the rank and file absolutely abdicated their responsibility to keep an eye on and reign in those we put in power and worse than that, turned a blind eye on the destruction of Christian communities east of the Adriatic on account of our slavish alliance with Mohammedanism.

Putin's dead wrong about a lot of things; Kosovo isn't one of them. We might have better relations with Russia now, and be better able to resist Islamofascism, if we'd let Serbia keep Ksovo.

The good news is that we’re l;ikely to have a McCain vs KKKlintler election and the door will be wide open to a real third party shot.

“...and the door will be wide open to a real third party shot.”

In your scenario, the only “third party shot” is Obama and his people...and they’d likely win. That might well mean the end of the Republican party; it would definitely mean the end of the Democrat party, at least as we know it.

An Obama/Bloomberg ticket, i.e. Obama with at least one halfway rational person along with him and without the baggage of the rat party might be a decent choice. Obama is several times brighter than either McCain or KKKlintler and is capable of figuring out some of the stuff he looks clueless on.

“Can you image what a B. Hussein Obama administration would deliver to the table?”

Do you suppose it could be worse than a string of smoking ruins where churches used to be and ravaged Christian communities from the east coast of the Adriatic to the Iran/Iraq border, all courtesy of Bush’s Mohammedan allies or otherwise “collateral damage” of no account?

What makes you think that the one candidate with a shot at the White House who DOES NOT have demonstrable ties to Mohammedan terrorism, as McCain, as Bush’s worthy successor, and Hitlery certainly do, would be as bad or worse than the past 8 years, or the eight before that? Is it that the destruction of Eastern Christian communities is a price Bush supporters are willing to pay to keep the Saudis happy and maybe Obama, being half black African, loathes the Arabs and that wouldn’t be good for business?

I was reading that one of the oldest monasteries in EUrope is located in the capital city of the new Kosovo - and is now behind a huge, high wall and guarded by UN troops, because the Muslims are always hurling things at the nuns and the monastery building. Now that they feel they’ve gotten away with it and kidnapped a country for themselves, they’ll be unstoppable.

Russia wants Kosovo to remain an unsolved problem, a thorn in the side of Europe and America.

So, Bush and all of us should support Kosovo independence, recognize the new state, and say stand firm to whatever Russia sends our way.

On the Fox News ticker, someone (I assume Serbians) are saying: “America is no longer the only power. The Russians are coming. As long there are Russia and Serbia, Kosovo will not be independent.”

Let’s just forget that Russia ever stopped being the Soviet Union, because under Putin it is again antagonistic and a major threat.

Let’s not forget how Russia has obstructed our country’s attempt to take a forceful posture with Iran. They have blocked UN resolutions on Iran, sent nuclear fuel and anti-aircraft batteries to Iran, positioned their fleet in the Mediterranean, are buzzing our carriers again, etc.

This is not a time to pretend the new Russia is warm, fuzzy and huggable.

The Serbs see the West's refusal to allow the Bosnian Serb Republic to freely accede to Serbia as an example of the West's hypocrisy, double standards and anti-Serb animus. Self determination for the Kosovars but none for the Serbs. Look for the Bosnian Serbs to declare independence and break away from that country.

Yes, they know the only reason this is happening is because the US supported the wrong side.

Supporting a Jihadist state of illegal immigrants who want to break away from the nation they’ve invaded is NOT in our nation interests.

Well I'm certainly not going to defend Bush in this matter. As I have posted previously I think his failure to reverse the Clinton policy was one of the great mistakes of his Presidency.

OTOH, I don't know much about McCain's position on the matter but it is probably as you describe. But betting that a born appeaser like Obama would somehow, magically, be a better choice is naive in the extreme. Our foreign policy would fall apart in an Obama administration. We would pull out of Iraq, abandon our position in the Middle East and you would have no hope for improvement in the Kosovo situation.

“But betting that a born appeaser like Obama would somehow, magically, be a better choice is naive in the extreme. Our foreign policy would fall apart in an Obama administration.”

What you say may well happen. Right now, however, there simply isn’t any hard evidence one way or the other. Here’s a safe bet; whatever happens, “magic” will have nothing to do with it.

“We would pull out of Iraq, abandon our position in the Middle East and you would have no hope for improvement in the Kosovo situation.”

In reverse order, the Kosovo situation will almost certainly be solved by Serbia and Russia and perhaps Greece and Bulgaria and Romania, not the US. The US, God willing, will sit by and do absolutely nothing. If anything happens during the next 11 months, or after a Hitlery or McCain election, God forbid, we may well see American service personnel dying to protect crazed jihadi Albanians. As for abandoning our position in the Middle East, just what position would that be? The one where we sit by and allow our Mohammedan allies crush Christian communities? The one where we sell out Israel? The one where we sell our most advanced weaponry to the benighted Wahabist Saudi devils or the one where we give $500,000,000.00 to Fatah? Personally, I like to see us abandon all of those positions. And Iraq; I thought the idea of the surge was so we could pull out of Iraq. We are told that the surge is working and that the day approaches when we can bring our people home. At least that’s what The Religion Of Peace Bush Administration is selling us. A lie?
