A transcript that reads like a conspiracy theorist's dream -- Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby plotting to kill President John F. Kennedy -- is part of a batch of long-hidden items and documents revealed on Monday.
Experts say the transcript is almost certainly a fake.
Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins presented the items at a news conference on Monday. He said they were locked in a safe for nearly two decades and that investigators had made him aware of them after he took office in 2006.
Curator Gary Mack of the Sixth Floor Museum near where the president was shot hasn't seen the transcript but doubts it is real. Watkins' top assistant said the document is likely material for a proposed movie.
The items also include Ruby's brown leather gun holster, brass knuckles found on Ruby when he was arrested, and a movie contract former Dallas District Attorney Henry Wade signed.
Other items found in an old safe on the 10th floor of the county courthouse include letters to and from Wade, the now-dead prosecutor in the Ruby trial, The Dallas Morning News reported in Sunday's editions. Ruby shot and killed Kennedy assassin Oswald two days after the president's death.
There are also letters to Ruby, records from his trial, and clothing that probably belonged to Ruby and Oswald, Watkins said Sunday.
Much of the attention is bound to focus on the transcript, supposedly from a meeting between Ruby and Oswald at Ruby's nightclub on October 4, 1963, less than two months before the November 22 assassination. In it, they talk of killing the president because the Mafia wants to "get rid of" his brother, Attorney General Robert Kennedy.

Why and how on earth could there be a transcript of such a discussion??? It makes zero sense.

Don’t be so quick to judge. I hear that in the transcript Ruby also gave Oswald a web site address that he used to buy the rifle! There’s even a FedEx receipt for the delivery.

Why, surely you jest! Lee had HIS Secretary transcribe the discussion for the record. Jack Ruby’s secretary was tired from the lap-dances she gave the night before.

The Kenndys picked on safe targets, the teamsters union, the Cincinati/Ky. mob, etc. They kept away from the big boys, the mafia, the syndicate, the CIO, The UAW etc. All the while focusing the publics attention on Bobbies heroics.

I was watching it on FOX a while ago. They cut away to E.D. Hill, who had a disbelieving smile on her face, and then they cut to a commercial when the guy was mid-sentence. LOL!

I know you’re kidding, but Rather was actually in Dallas in 1963, and was the first to report that Kennedy was dead.
I think it’s understood now that Hoover more or less allowed the mobs to “police themselves.” Murders were under cover, not out in broad daylight, and stayed within the families, for the most part. If they got too obvious, Hoover would clamp down a little, but if the press stayed quiet, Hoover left them alone. Kennedy did go after the Teamsters, which weren’t exactly the boy scouts. Whenever government intervenes in organized crime, though, they end up being just another gang, taking out one mob and thus freeing up territory for another.

Also included in the safe was a movie contract with Wade. IOW, this ‘transcript’ was most likely part of the script for the proposed movie. Now, that makes sense.

Chief of Police Jesse Curry was involved in the discussions with Kenneth O’Donnell (special assistant to Kennedy) and Winston G. Lawson (Secret Service) about the route of that President John F. Kennedy was to take on 22nd November, 1963. However, Curry always insisted that it was Lawson who made all the major decisions.
Curry drove the presidential motorcade’s lead car and took control of the situation after the killing of Kennedy. The next day Curry told reporters that he could tell by the sound of the shots that they had come from the Texas School Book Depository.
Curry was also responsible for protecting Lee Harvey Oswald. However, he later claimed that just before Jack Ruby shot Oswald he was “called to take a phone call from Dallas Mayor Earle Cabell”.
Dorothy Kilgallen later managed to obtain the Dallas Police Department radio logs for the day of the assassination. This revealed that as soon as the shots were fired in the Dealey Plaza, Curry issued an order to search the Grassy Knoll area. This contradicted what Curry had told reporters and the Warren Commission.
After viewing the Zapruder Film Curry came to the conclusion that Governor John Connally and John F. Kennedy had been hit by separate bullets. He told interviewer Tom Johnson that he was not convinced that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Kennedy: “We don’t have any proof that Oswald fired the rifle, and never did. Nobody’s yet been able to put him in the building (Texas School Book Depository) with a gun in his hand.”
Jesse Curry, who published the book, The JFK Assassination File (1969), died of a heart attack in June, 1980.
At the time, I had never heard of JFK and of course, he was only beginning his run for the presidency. I have no way to verify the conversation, but I'll bet that someone from Dallas would be able to find out if, in fact Steve Guthrey (sp?) was the sheriff of Dallas in the 1950's and if the story he told me was credible.

Ruby: Hey no problem, I'm real deep in the mob, only they don't know that yet
Oswald: Freakin sweet! Now you know that your supposed to kill me before they transport me out of jail, right?
Ruby: Yeah, yeah! I have friends that will let me in the basement at the last moment and I'll kill you there!

Ruby: Hmmm. Well I'm sure the CIA will inject me with cancer cells or something. Slow agonizing death is what I want!

Ruby: I was going to blow you up, but thats too Italian. I'm Jewish and you know we are big in the Italian mafia!
Oswald: This is going to be so cool. I'm glad we are plotting to kill the president in an open place for witnesses to overhear us. Usually its done in secret cuz I think its against the law to shoot a President!

You forgot on the transcript where Ruby and Oswald “high fived” each other and flashed gang signs. And the part when Jack Ruby was photographed getting into his black Cadillac Escalade.

I think this is horse hockey. So these documents are unfounded all these years???? And “mafia” and”mob” are mentioned. I don’t think you name the NAME. But of course, that just comes from watching the Sopranos and the Godfather movies. :)
nobody killed a president from a tall building either. What can I say? Oswald was a trend setter!
