Ex-President Bush says attacks on McCain "unfair

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Former President George H.W. Bush urged disgruntled conservatives on Monday to rally around John McCain, calling their criticism of the Republican presidential front-runner "grossly unfair."

The father of President George W. Bush said he was annoyed by attacks within the conservative wing of the Republican Party against the Arizona senator, the all-but-certain Republican nominee to face Democrats in November election.

Many conservatives distrust McCain because of his moderate views on illegal immigration and campaign finance reform and for having originally voted against President Bush's tax cuts. Persuading them all to vote for McCain in November will be a central challenge.

"His character was forged in the crucible of war. His commitment to America is beyond any doubt," the 41st U.S. president, flanked by his wife Barbara, told a joint news conference with McCain in a Houston airport hanger.

McCain's attacks on conservatives are unfair.

McCain's attacks on the constitution are unfair.

McCain's attacks on Americans and legal immigrants who don't want the value of U.S. citizenship cheapened with a blanket amnesty are unfair.

This is only a beginning list.

"Many conservatives distrust McCain because of his moderate views on illegal immigration and campaign finance reform"

Being opposed to the enforcement of the law and opposed to the clear intent of the First Amendment is not "moderate."

Most DEMOCRATS opposed the McCain / Kennedy Amnesty. McCain was an absolute radical; well to the left of my many Democrat friends who want the border secured for about a decade first.

Whether or not the Supremes agree, disallowing me from joining a buddy and placing an advertisement against Senator McLiberal is a pure form of Government censorship, prohibited by the First Amendment. I look forward to a less politically beholden Supreme Court to overturn McCain / Feingold on the basis of IT'S CRAP!

Hillary Clinton fundraiser Norman Hsu fugitive for grand theft?

The Wall Street Journal reports Norman Hsu, one of the top fundraisers for Hillary Clinton, may be a fugitive from justice.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Norman Hsu, a top Democratic contributor and a major fundraiser for the presidential campaign of Sen. Hillary Clinton, has pleaded no contest to a charge of grand theft in 1991. According to the Journal, Hsu accepted a plea baring to serve three years in jail after for allegedly cheating investors out of $1 million.

California prosecutor claims that Mr. Hsu never appeared for his sentencing and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. “He is a fugitive. Do you know where he is?” Ronald Smetana, who handled the case for the California state attorney general, said in an interview with the paper. Norman Hsu’s attorney claims that there are no outstanding warrants for his client.

The WSJ also linked Norman Hsu to a San Francisco family, the Paw family, who live in a modest house, but have contributed $55,000 to Hillary Clinton in the past three years. Winkle Paw, who lists as his employer several companies owned by Mr. Hsu, is the top contributor from the Paw family. You can see a picture of their home on the right. “I have been fortunate in my investments and all of my contributions have been in my money,” Winkle Paw told the newspaper.

The Hillary Clinton camp said today that there is no reason to return the donations, as there is no evidence that anyone got reimbursed for the donations, and that the Paw family, although living in a small house, had the financial means for these contributions!

Hsu raised big money for Clinton supporters
Candidates she courted benefit
By Scott Helman, Globe Staff | September 26, 2007

Disgraced fund-raiser Norman Hsu did a lot more than just pump $850,000 into Hillary Clinton’s campaign bank account: He also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local, state, and federal candidates who have endorsed Clinton or whose support she courted.

A major fund-raiser for Democrats since 2003, Hsu became one of Clinton’s biggest bundlers - gathering scores of individual checks and sending them to her campaign. But since revelations last month that Hsu was a fugitive in a 15-year-old California fraud case, Clinton has said she would return the $850,000 she has taken from him and his associates.

Exposing Hillary’s Illegalities In Los Angeles Court To Begin Feb. 21!
The Hillary Clinton Accountability Project will shortly launch its fundraising drive to raise $500,000 to support the most important citizen’s legal initiative of 2008. The landmark civil fraud suit of Paul v Clinton et al which the California Supreme Court ordered to proceed against the Clintons, Grammys Producer Gary Smith and Clinton agent Jim Levin, will be set for trial and a discovery schedule at a special conference to be held in Los Angeles Superior Court on February 21, 2008.

The first law suit in American history to bring a President and a Senator to court for defrauding the Senator’s largest campaign donor and his public company will be set for trial and discovery at the Case Management Conference before Judge Munoz. Discovery and depositions of key witnesses, including the Clinton family, Al Gore, Ed Rendell, Terry McAuliffe, Harold Ickes, Howard Wolfson, Kelly Craighead, Barbara Streisand, Brad Pitt, Larry King, Mike Wallace among an array of political and entertainment leaders, will present an inside look at a culture of corruption that will shock the public.

Moderate view on Campaign Finance Reform: Go to jail for using 1st Amendment Rights 60 days before an election.

Moderate view on Immigration: Extend amnesty to 12 million illegals.

I do , and I wonder what was the outcome on this story?
Abdul Rehman Jinnah (a.k.a. “Ray” Jinnah, Abdul Jinnah and Rehman Jinnah) is a Northridge, California, businessman and Pakistani immigrant who is being sought by the FBI on charges of Illegal Campaign Contributions and Conspiracy.

Jinnah, who hosted fundraisers in Southern California for Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barbara Boxer, has been charged with funneling illegal contributions to Clinton’s political action committee, HILL PAC, and Boxer’s 2004 reelection campaign, Robin Fields and Chuck Neubauer reported March 3, 2007, in the Los Angeles Times.

In 2004, Jinnah “was also involved in organizing the Pakistani American Leadership Center (web), which helped form” a Congressional Pakistan Caucus [1], which “was created through a Congressional initiative” of Co-Chairs Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) and Rep. Dan Burton (R-Ind.). [2]

Jinnah is accused of “engineering more than $50,000 in illegal donations to the Democratic committees. A business associate charged as a co-conspirator has entered a guilty plea and is scheduled to be sentenced in Los Angeles next week,” Fields and Neubauer wrote.

Jinnah “attempted to circumvent election laws by reimbursing friends, business contacts and their family members for contributions made in their names, according to court records,” Fields and Neubauer wrote. Between “June 2004 to February 2005, Jinnah directly or indirectly solicited contributions from more than a dozen ‘conduits,’ reimbursing them with funds from his company, All American Distributing, a seller of cellphone service and accessories. ... Authorities said the scheme allowed Jinnah to get around limits then in effect on individual donors of $5,000 per year to PACs and $2,000 per election to candidates, as well as the ban on using corporate money for political donations.”

Former President George H.W. Bush urged disgruntled conservatives on Monday to rally around John McCain, calling their criticism of the Republican presidential front-runner "grossly unfair."

Who cares what that globalist pos thinks about anything. He's the biggest RINO of all. McCain is where he is because the media and the other globalists wanted him there. They made sure that the only two conservatives were virtually shut out of the debates, insuring that they would be gone. McCain is NO conservative, and I detest him with a passion. I will NEVER forgive him for what he has done to hurt America/Americans.

However, that being said, I would crawl across a parking lot full of broken glass, while holding my nose to vote against Hillary or Obama! We KNOW what that socialist pig Hillary will do to America, and Obama is to the left of her with Ted Kennedy and John Kerry in his ear, so we cannot allow him to win.

I AM VOTING AGAINST HILLARY AND OBAMA BECAUSE AMERICA/AMERICANS CANNOT AFFORD EITHER ONE OF THEM IN OFFICE.

IF that puts McCain in office, then so be it.

can someone post the utube picture of bush senior all but mentioning the NAU in an inaugural speech.

Bush elder headed up the cia. the cia is a liberal agency that follows the money. big money wants the worlds countries united under one big UN umbrella. They can’t do it directly so they’ll do it by grouping states together. In the new world it will be the NAU and some latin american federation. But that will be followed by a new world superstate.

by this time no one will give a rats ass about any of these superstate things and they’ll just be able to merge the new world superstates into oceana europe and asian states. all under the UN.

The criticism of mccain is perfectly appropriate and fair. McCain buys into the whole stupid mess. The way it will be implemented is that the illegals will be legalized.

This is just about the last election where the english speaking America has control over the issue.

The democrats are also sold out to the same thing. They’ll do it faster.

That’s the difference between McCain & the dems. He’ll do it slower and more deliberately. the dems will do it faster and with less deliberation.

I am for McCain 2008 no need of pay! Just making sure the truth is heard above the B.S. demorat spin!
Norman Hsu’s donations to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign have brought comparisons but no direct connections to the 1990s “Chinagate” scandal.

But before Hsu made headlines as a fugitive fundraiser late last month (he’s now in custody in California for a 1991 grand theft conviction), he served on a board with another key figure in the earlier fundraising scandal. For more than a year, Hsu was a member of the board for the New School University in New York, where he worked with Bernard L. Schwartz. The latter, a major Clinton donor, was chief executive officer of a major defense contractor involved in technology transfers to the People’s Republic of China, according to a congressional report released in 1999.

Hsu was named to the New School’s board of governors in May 2006, New School spokesman Brian Krapf told Cybercast News Service. He was named to the board of trustees in Jhttp://www.hillaryproject.com/index.php?/en/story-details/hsu_linked_to_past_clinton_scandal_donor/uly 2007.

According to Rush Limbaugh’s show today, there’s a rumor on “the street,” as Rush put it, that should Hillary be the democrat’s nominee, Michael Bloomberg will offer Barry Hussein Obama one BILLION dollars to run as an independent
(as long as he, Obama, takes Bloomberg as his running mate!). Rush said this would destroy the democrat party....Rush also said, “Please, let it be true!”

Mrs. Clinton To Run For White House

Hillary Biographer, the late Barbara Olson, says Mrs. Clinton’s roots are Marxist

Barbara Olson, author of Hell to Pay. The Unfolding Story of Hillary Rodham Clinton (Regnery Publishing, Inc. 1999), is a prominent Washington attorney who served as a congressional investigator and as a general counsel in the United States Senate. She was interviewed by Cliff Kincaid, president of America’s Survival, on December 8, 2000. What follows is an edited transcript of that interview.

Q: Do you believe that Hillary Rodham Clinton is a Marxist?

A: I believe she has a political ideology that has its roots in Marxism. In her formative years, Marxism was a very important part of her ideology...But when you look at her ideas on health and education, you see more government and less individual control. You see very little regard for families...

Q: Do you see Hillary as in favor of Socialist-style thinking at the global level?

A: We saw that with her activities as First Lady. She traveled more than any other First Lady. She had a global view. She spoke at the Beijing conference on women. She was very active in organizations and conferences that seem to be concerned about human rights but which are also directed toward a centralized governmental view. That is, one world. I looked at her travels and saw what she was doing. I always assumed Hillary was going to run for president. And I assumed that these international travels and her work with the Beijing women’s conference and the U.N. were going to be her way into the White House; that she was going to have a foreign policy platform that not many women have...

Q: So you do believe that she will run for president?

A: I do. She believes her ideology to the core. She’s worked for it behind Bill Clinton for years. I have thought that Hillary was going to run for the White House since 1993 when I started investigating the Clintons. She doesn’t compromise. She doesn’t come to the center. She believes in a true leftist, Socialist kind of government.

Q: She portrays her causes such as children’s rights and women’s rights in such an attractive manner. She has put conservatives on the defensive once again.

A: She has. That’s the central focus of her public relations campaign...But her ideas about health care and education have very little to do with women and children. They are the lever she uses to bring the government into the family.

Q: She’s been pushing treaties such as the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women. Isn’t she promoting global government?

A: Yes.We all know about her book, It Takes a Village. She says the future is not family but the larger village of teachers, pediatricians and social workers. She talks about raising children as less of a parental task than a social one...You have the destruction of the family unit. That’s very basic when you study Socialism and Marxism.
God BLess Barbara Olsen, a true conservative!
