Why would McCain bites the hand that feeds him?

I guess McCain, deep in his heart, believes the Liberal media is really his friend. After all, they’ve been touting him as “The Maverick John McCain” and other such breathless, fawning BS as long as I can remember.

Why does this remind me of how the scandal in the City of Detroit broke? Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s personal relationship with a co-worker five years ago, abuses of the public’s trust, misappropriation of funds, conduct unbecoming of an elected official, perjury, media hype by the hour, a real black eye, etc. In Hizzoner’s case, I think it’s all a matter of time before the truth is revealed about his administration’s wrong-doings but these allegations with McCain and the lobbyist being portrayed as some kind of perpetrators should go away and hopefully, rightly so without delay. So much for hope?

Maybe McCain IS the right nominee. He is a warior, and a pitbull.

“If McCain didn’t see this coming, is he qualified to be POTUS?”

For many years McLame played up to the media and they were nice to him. He thought they were his friends. He is about to learn that when push comes to shove, his media buddies see him as just another POS Republican.

You are right. I should not have said it was a hit piece. It was a legitimate article and was not done in an over-the-top way . . . I agree with you. It’s the spin on the piece on the cable shows, on the internet, that is asserting something that is not in the article at all that “are” the hit pieces. Everyone is treating this article as if there is any support for the core implied allegation of sex.

“I’m getting a sinking feeling about McCain’s candidacy. It’s just a matter of time before it hits a big iceberg and goes under.”

This is a BAD thing?! Let’s help sink it NOW. Then maybe we can find a someone electable for the general election.

“Yes, we all knew how this script would play out.”

Actually not all of us did. I had arguments on this forum with McCain supporters who were convinced that the MSM had been in the tank for McCain so long that they would have to continue to prop him up or look like hypocrites. Like the MSM care about being hypocrites.

These were some of the same people who believed the bogus polls that had McCain cleaning Hillary’s clock in every state. Now that he’s secured the nomination, the real polls are out showing him neck-and-neck with Hillary and being decimated by Obama. Wonder what the polls will look like a week from now.

So do you then agree that the Slimes should print a hit Piece on the Republican candidate but its ok to leave the multi-ethnic, multi-racial, multi-religious Democrat candidates’ unsubstantiated affair with the Feel Good and Crack Cocaine Lobbyist Larry Sinclair uninvestigated and unreported?

Isn’t something just a little bit unfair about that?

The game was fixed from the beginning to make sure we never had a say in it. People who have been around the block a few times should have seen it - was clear as daylight the whole time.

All lining up behind the loser McCain will do at this point is ensure that we don’t have a candidate on the ballot in November.

So we can conclude that the New York Times has stuck a fork into Hillary and she’s definitely done?

"In a blog posting late Wednesday, TNR senior editor Noam Scheiber wrote: “The McCain campaign is apparently blaming TNR for forcing the Times' hand on this story. ",/i>

TNR has a history of smearing the troops, kindly overlooked by the NYT ideologues (re:Scott Beauchamp). But Franklin Foer, the lame editor of TNR endorsed MCCain. Tou have to wonder if this is a tag-team deal, so nobody gets blamed for publishing innuendo.

That’s why he is unqualified and should step aside.

All very true, now he has just come out with another non-denial denial. What a loser.

McCain told reporters Wednesday night when asked about the story: "I haven't seen it yet, so I can't comment."

You don't need to see a newspaper to know whether or not you committed adultery, Johnny....

Well, since he had already specifically stated to the reporters that there had been no romantic relationship between them, there was no reason to assume that the story included that allegation. Hence, without seeing the story it would be rather presumptuous to attempt to comment on it.

I’m getting a sinking feeling about McCain’s candidacy. It’s just a matter of time before it hits a big iceberg and goes under.

Better now than in September after he is the official candidate. This way the wise old heads (if there are any) in the GOP can wise up and dump him now. McCain has gone to full attack mode - probably because he sees that threat. He knows "his" Party would love to dump him.

His other Party (the MSM) have already started to destroy his candidacy, but really don't want him dumped, yet. They know he is just chum and a sitting duck for the Democrats.

Likely, they couldn't wait but made a strategic mistake by jumping the gun. Normally, this sort of stuff is held until late October. But maybe they have a lot of bigger, juicier stuff on hold?

“The game was fixed from the beginning to make sure we never had a say in it.”

You are exactly correct. Google McCain’s “Reform Institute” and “open primaries” and you will see where this push for making Republican primaries open came from. Moving the primary dates around and making more primaries open, especially the early ones, has been a key part of the Reform Institute’s efforts.

If you don’t know much about the Reform Institute, look on their donors page and google their big donors. It’s a globalist who’s who.

Watching his press conference now, he doesn’t seem very angry.
