Iran "Has Nuclear Warhead Factory"
The Australian ^ | February 22, 2008 | Marc Champion

THE Iranian opposition group that first exposed Iran's controversial nuclear fuel program has given the UN's nuclear watchdog details of what the group says is a working nuclear warhead factory, visited by North Koreans.

The facility at Khojir, a Defence Ministry missile research site on the southeast edge of Tehran, is developing a nuclear warhead for use on Iranian medium-range missiles, according to Mohammad Mohaddessin, foreign affairs chief for theexiled National Council of Resistance of Iran.

Mr Mohaddessin also said the NCRI had identified a guest house on a military compound near Khojir that housed North Korean specialists working at the warhead facility. He said the information had been finalised in recent weeks and was current.

The opposition group is considered by the US and the European Union to be a terrorist organisation, but it has proved correct on several claims before.

If true, the claim would suggest the US was wrong in a December report that said Iran halted its nuclear-weapons program in 2003.

Yesterday, Mr Mohaddessin passed the information, which includes satellite images, to the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN's Vienna-based nuclear watchdog, and asked the agency to investigate...

It is a fools game for us to have ever thought that the *only* way Iran could get weapons grade nuclear material was if they made it themselves.

Far simpler and cheaper to buy it from North Korea, which has plenty extra.

And it would have been a good strategic gambit on the part of Iran to enrich uranium as well as buying weapons grade material. The purpose would be to distract foreign powers while assembling warheads and placing them on missiles.

Ideally, by that strategy, nobody has a clue until one day when Iran either announces that they had 10 or 20 armed nuclear ballistic missiles ready to launch.

Or Iran announces it by launching them.

No way!

Imanutjob promised after all.

We need faith and a concerning attitude toward change after all. LOL

One good thing about McCain is that if (when) he’s elected he won’t hesitate to do whatever is necessary to halt Iran’s ability to produce nuclear weapons.

After Gitmo is shut down of course.

McCain is a politician focused on what is best for America and our way of life, right?

"Our intelligence agencies predicted the Pakistani bomb, right?"

Well, I, uh, don't think it's quite fair to condemn a whole program because of a single slip-up...

What is the over/under on the first “test”?

I didn’t say I supported McCain, and I do not intend to vote for him because of his views on immigration and McCain-Feingold. But it is Good that McCain will declare war on Iran if it’s necessary to prevent them developing nuclear weapons.

I do not believe we can be confident that either Hillary or Obama will do the right thing. They will allow Iran to get nuclear weapons just as Bill Clinton allowed Pakistan (another Muslim state) to get them.

I think they missed that one... and the NK bomb... they missed that to.

Need I go on?

Iran now has the bomb. Once again, we missed the 'window of opportunity'.
