Many anecdotes. Long discussion of the variety of 911 conspiracy theorists.

"weve witnessed the decomposition of civil liberties and the fortification of the American empire in the Middle East." How dare someone afflicted with progressive liberalitis deride a 9/11 truther!

The writer gives these wackos way too much credit. I know several, and they are all insufferable lunatics.

36 percent of all Americans believe that the government is responsible for 9/11. It's not a coincidence that 36 percent also say that they've been abducted by UFOs.

The author of this article is soooo sympathetic to the Truther movement, he can hardly bring himself to say that it's completely intellectually bankrupt, mentally handicapped and completely dominated by those more willing to believe in alien abduction than in white bread.
He, too, is a Bush hater so he has to conclude that there is something good coming from it: that they're organized? Puhleeze!
So were the BrownShirts during Kristalnacht, the murderous gangs killing Tutus and the anarchists who trashed Seattle during WTO...
Imagine saying "well, Hitler wasn't all bad: he knew how to organize people"...

It’s an anti Bush thing. No matter what happens when Obama is president, he won’t get blamed for it. Remember the liberals who protested over Desert Storm? Nary a peep was heard from them when Clinton bombed the Serbs.

47% of American voters, voted for a lying traitor in the last Presidential election. I can readily believe that 36% are moon bats

Utney collects and publishes various (or vacuous) leftist indymedia drivel on a monthly basis.

And 99% of Americans have no idea who Jaime Gorelick was.
To: shrinkermd
For anyone who wants a synopsis of the article:
“The 911 Truthers’ conspiracies might not be true in the strict sense of the word, but they do after all hate Bush and so can’t be all bad.”
That pretty much sums it up.

(oh well, Hunter 2012 anyone?)
To: FlingWingFlyer
So:
36% of all Americans believe the government is responsible for 9/11.
36% also say that they’ve been abducted by UFO’s.
Didn’t bill clinton win with 36% of the vote?
It all makes sense now..
