I’m listening to Quinn and Rose Morning show. They are talking about how scary this whole thing is. The whole messiah thing. They brought this up many months ago.
Some quotes they cited from celebrities:
George Clooney: “I would follow him anywhere”
Halle Berry: “I would pick up paper cups to clear a path for him”
What the!!!!
Where did he come from? Who is he? What has he accomplished? Why is he so mesmerizing to so many?
I can’t figure it out. He’s like Bill Clinton. He makes me sick to my stomach whenever I see him and hear him.

Heck, those and a half a dozen more are probably already worked up and sitting on the shelf awaiting the right moment.

Yeah, for sure. To those who have read the Left Behind series, does the name “Nicolae Carpathia” come to mind? He too was intelligent, charismatic, articulate, inspiring. He also was, alas, the Antichrist. Not drawing a corollary, just an observation that came to mind, that’s all....
I’d do it for the sake of sarcasm, if it weren’t so horribly close to the truth.

The worship of this badly flawed, fallen man is proof positive that we are living in a time and in a nation where the natural consequences of decades of rejection of Jesus Christ are now playing out. When God said "the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God", He did not give an exemption for America.
As I've said before, this adulation and worship is but a prelude of what is on the horizon. If people will fall so hard for a novice like Barak Obama, how much more so will they worship the Antichrist, who will be, after all, the father of lies and the first deceiver, personified?
We are living in a frightening time and a time that was foretold a long time ago. And if things are playing out so far like God said they would, it would be wise to read all the way to the last chapter and come to the realization that there is no hope and no salvation apart from the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made when He died for us.
God's eternal plan will be carried out, is in the process of working itself out, and, indeed, Jesus Christ is man's only hope and only way of salvation and the only One Who can provide deliverance from the wrath that is to come.
Not any man, and certainly not Barak Obama.

Well, being that this string is addressing superstition; Obama is left-handed. Should he become POTUS #44, he will have become the 8th port-sider, along with James Garfield, Herbert Hoover, Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton. I have read that about 5% of the general population is left handed. 8 of 44 is 18%. So, not a good omen for we conservatives...
The pure idiocy of Obama’s ascendancy can be seen in the difference between him and Dennis Kucinich. Dennis is a friendly little gnome who politics are almost indistinguishable from Obama’s. But Koochnik (as my wife calls him) barely drew fleas to his rallies and received only a few percentage points in the primary vote totals. I wonder where Obama would be if he was cast in the Koochnik physical mold. Even Dennis’s gorgeous wife couldn’t help him. Image is everything to the Donkey Party faithful.
