The reason that the left is so adamant about Afghanistan/Pakistan and “getting Bin Ladin” is that they are still in the “prosecute the criminal” mindset instead of “worldwide terror war” mindset.
Once we “get Bin Ladin”, they’ll call it “even” and “justice served” for 9/11 and go back to the 9/10 mindset where their biggest concern was validating their narcissist/hedonist lifestyles.
