When I was a kid, we played guns and fought over who got to be the Durango Kid

Sorry, I’m not that familiar with Durango. Maybe “nothingnew” can help you.

I should look that up. Was there a Durango Kid? Trivia but interesting.

I was in Durango two summers ago and it’s impressive even though isolated from larger cities. There is a lot to do there and the people were really great. They even have a small group of radical leftists hanging around. Ten of them were protesting in front of the Post Office on Earth Day when I was there. Old hippies and a few young wanna-be’s. I still laugh about it in hind sight.

Poncho Villa’s forces drove my Swede great grandparents out of Durango, Mexico to Durango Colo. They were mining folk.

Thanks bert, I’ll read it all later this morning. Interesting stuff, and more than one name I remember growing up.

You’re more charitable than I am. I’d wager that WAS the
proof-read version.
