Somebody need to take it grassroots.
Any FReepers have their own server? A few mirror sites springing up with
url’s like www.earmarkreform.com, www.earmarkreform.net, www.earmarkreformhouse.com, . . . would be a nice way to show grassroots support for the idea.

Both MTS and Conemaugh have hired the Washington lobbying firm PMA Group, which has given $107,500 to Mr. Murtha since 1989, making it the lawmaker's sixth largest contributor, according to opensecrets.org.That's an excerpt from an article in the Pittsburg Post-Gazette from 2007. Murtha has received hundreds of thousands in contributions from defense contractors.

Did ya ever notice...
It always seems to be the party in the minority that plays the watchdog role regarding spending. I applaud any efforts to cut down on wasteful and unnecessary spending. However, based on recent history, I am not at all confident that we will do any better when we finally regain the majority in Congress. Part of the reason we ARE the minority is because our own leadership was complicit in this same kind of ridiculous largess.
