Personally I wouldn’t mind a fence manned with Terminators and a few hunter-killers. Definitely would have some fun against the Mexican army incursions and drug runners...
Where’r the virtual fence around the White house. If it works well there it should work well on our southern border.
I don’t buy it, unless it comes with death rays, rocket and teargas launchers.

But you would have to tear down a double walled physical fence. Photos would force repairs. It's easy to take pictures. It's hard to keep an effort like the Minutemen together.
With a virtual fence, the border will be kind of closed for a little while and will then open up again when the heat is off. That's why all the usual suspects think it's such a good idea.
The cynicism is entirely justified by decades of behavior by our leaders. Any talk about a fence (virtual or otherwise) by 2/3rds of our congressmen and all of our presidents and all of our presidential candidates is a head-fake.
I'll believe they have changed when movement across the border has been reduced by 90%+ for more than a decade. Until then, all available evidence is that they regard real border security as a political problem to be finessed, not as a goal to be achieved.

Cynical, and justified. A Virtual Fence can be torn down overnight. Or allowed to develop 'holes' that ordinary folks can't see, but smugglers can, and will, use with impunity
I guess we will be able to better tell how many Americans will be murdered and raped by illegals, how many hospitals will close down, how many ESL teachers will be mandated for public schools, and by how huge a margin the Democrats are going to win every future election for the next century. Have at it all you 2nd grade educated,non English speaking, only capable of operating a leaf blower, 5 kids and one in the oven, illegals. What a beautiful country!!
