"BC said the officer was a lieutenant when he led a platoon to Afghanistan in 2003."

Uhhh... 5 yrs ago? WTF?

Even with the off the book appropriations, I know the military is scraping for cash over here; and that being the case, there could be some problems with supply over there - hope not; but we will see.

My question is how do you capture the enemy’s weapons if you don’t have your own?

Obama said it was easier for the troops to capture weapons from Taliban militants than it was "to get properly equipped by our current commander in chief," President Bush

And just how did Obama vote when it came to funding this war?

Not that I really care about your op-ed but it sure sounds like you support the coke snorting Obama? If a military recruit puts on their enlistment form that they did cocaine they are disqualified, should the same standard apply to the Commander In Chief?

I think that Obama, along with the NY Times and the leftists believers, are giving McCain more and m ore credence with conservatives.

“If the charges turn out to be false, he can say that he didn’t say it was true but that someone told him it was true.”

But in the DUmmie world that is a lie. If someone, just for an example, from the CIA and the Clinton Adm. told George Bush that Saddam had WMDs and it turned out to be false, then George Bush lied.
Correct?

Still not a single media question about Larry Sinclair.

Mr. Sinclair is taking a polygraph. Mr. Sinclair claims to have proof, including receipts and the testimony of a first-hand witness. That's a hell of a lot more than the Times had on McCain.

“Obama said the captain had served as the head of a rifle platoon,”

Obama used the word ‘rifle’ because that was the issue of the story. (not enough rifles)

Obama used the word ‘platoon’ because it was the only military term for a ‘group of soldiers’ that he knew, and which he remembered from watching the movie PLATOON.

Obama also thinks that the soldiers were cold, and had to borrow FULL METAL JACKETS from the enemy to keep warm.

Gunny Highway," This is teh AK-47, the prefed weapon of your enemy. It makes a distinctive sound when fired at you. Learn it."

THANKS. I enjoyed that movie—”Heartbreak Ridge.”

Though AK-47’s can be used to confuse the enemy, firing the weapon might also confuse nearby friendly troops and draw their fire.

A point that we both made brilliantly. Great minds think alike.

My former boss at Edwards AFB, was an Army Ranger Capt. We saw that movie when it first came out. His only comment was its amazing how the Marine’s single handedly took the island. No Rangers were involved.

He was a little bitter at the end of the movie, so I bought him a beer and he felt better!

Yeah, two Ranger battalions jumped into Grenada. Grenada was like an interservice live-fire exercise in the variety of units involved.

From Wikepedia:

U.S. land forces

* 22nd Marine Amphibious Unit
* 24th Infantry Division (United States)
* 82nd Airborne: large contingent
* 21st Tactical Air Support Squadron (TASS) Jumper qualified FACs deployed with 82nd Airborne
* 75th Ranger Regiment **
* Navy SEALs: specifically SEAL Team FIVE and SEAL Team SIX
* Delta Force
* 160th SOAR (A) Night Stalkers

** The 75th Ranger Regiment had not been formed at the time of Operation Urgent Fury. Both existing Ranger battalions, 1st Battalion (Ranger), 75th Infantry and 2nd Battalion (Ranger), 75th Infantry, took part in the operation. A year later both units were incorporated into the newly formed 75th Ranger Regiment.

the jest of the story is real but some minor facts were taken out of context.
