White House accuses NYT of anti-GOP bias

The White House sided with Sen. John McCain and accused The New York Times on Friday of repeatedly trying to "drop a bombshell" on Republican presidential nominees to undermine their candidacies.
White House deputy press secretary Scott Stanzel...
"I think a lot of people here in this building, with experience in a couple campaigns, have grown accustomed to the fact that during the course of the campaign, seemingly on maybe a monthly basis leading up to the convention and maybe a weekly basis after that, the New York Times does try to drop a bombshell on the Republican nominee.
"And that is something that the Republican nominee has faced in the past and probably will face in this campaign," ...
"And sometimes they make incredible leaps to try to drop those bombshells on the Republican nominee."

If the U.S. military can shoot down a satelitte in space, why can’t they carpet bomb the NY Times building?

"Hello George this is not the first time."
Maybe that's why the White House said: "I think a lot of people here in this building, with experience in a couple campaigns, have grown accustomed to the fact that during the course of the campaign, seemingly on maybe a monthly basis leading up to the convention and maybe a weekly basis after that, the New York Times does try to drop a bombshell on the Republican nominee."

It’s obvious to us, but for the White House to actually say it is significant. My first thought was to imagine what that idiot Jane Hall will say on Fox Newswatch and O’Reilly when asked about this. Undoubtedly, brain-dead Jane will reply that she has never noticed any left-wing bias at the Times, and that this is just Republican propaganda.
To: Southack
Just politicians defending other politicians. It's what they do best.
If that makes you go "rah rah", you've got issues. Sheesh

“Issues”, “clueless”, you’re the one who got off topic by making it personal, and throwing insults.
But I’ll stay superior to that, by replying that the President got his instructions from the RNC for damage control. I’m not impressed, it’s all political.
Now when the President starts using the podium to defend taxpayers, then I’ll be impressed.
To: dervish
...or... it’s a fiendish plot to undermine McCain with moderates, part of a great plot to steal the nomination from Obama and award it to Hillary. ;’)

You think???? The NY Times will do anything it can to advance the hysterically liberal Democratic agenda. The major problem for them, though is that they’ve done it so much that they’ve lost their credibility with most of the American people.
