Touch and go is sop

It is customary to have the wheels down for this procedure...

There’s a good tag line in there somewhere.

I wonder if this pilot is related to the (late) USAF Colonel who like to hot dog in a B-52 ?

Chris Pratt, the chairman of Cathay Pacific, is said to have been among the VIP passengers who were on board

He had his bosses on board. This pilot had big brass ones!

He’s screwing with his employer’s property and deserves to be fired for it. It is possible to go too far some times.

Yeah, and I'll bet the VP cut them off and handed them to him.

Uh, how exactly is flying low off the runway impressive? Just because the wheels were up?

I suspect part of the reason for that salary is that according to Boeing, the 777 line retail value is between 200 and 279 million. The airline probably wasn’t happy about the pilot taking that kind of chance with a brand new plane of that value, and there’s also the potential loss of human life for what was essentially a stunt.

What do you suppose would have happened to his employer’s insurance rates if they had let this go unpunished. Risking an aircraft worth over $200 million will get you a nasty letter from Geico...

cue the 707 barrel role tape.

Boeing needs to do the barrel roll with the Dreamliner.

The resulting “street cred” with the flying public would be priceless.

Is that when you “Bare All,” ie: Rolling 360 degrees about the roll axis with the Carmen Electra and Pan Anderson walking topless on the wings?

If I recall correctly, the first flight of a 707 was rolled at the same airport...just a happy guy doing what he likes to do...

A minor point: I think Cathy Pacific, has their HQ in Bermuda, but operate out of HK
