What a name! LOL!!! They picked it in much more innocent times.
I believe it was their way of poking fun at all they flyers glued to lampposts up and down Joseph Campau in the 80s.

their website Actually, they just won a Hammy Award on Feb. 2nd! LOL!!!
That's a "Hamtramck Music Award" -- they won theirs for "Lifetime Achievement" (surviving 26 years).
Feb. 2nd was the "first annual" Hammy Awards.

I just saw that Bowling U.S.A. and Leader Of Iraq are on their "Volume 1" album. I may have to buy it just to satisfy my curiosity!
